  3. I can't get on the Sparta ACE server anymore. I've installed the patch, put the CBA hotfix in and now I'm getting signature errors for a whole bunch of ACE files. Haven't changed anything since the last time I played ACE, except for the actual game update and hotfix.

  8. I'm a bit late out in the thread here. This map looks awesome! I wonder how well it will play for the peeps who need the grass turned off, though? Looks like the sort of map you don't want to turn grass off on, but that might bug a few 'puters out?
  9. I have just about everything set to high and it's running smoothly. Intel Q9450 Ati 4890 950MHz 1 GB GDDR5 4 GB DDR2 Ram But I'm only running XP still, so I guess there's no DX10?

  13. Sooo, I'm trying to make a mission where a small fireteam moves in disguised as the enemy to rescue hostages. I'm trying to use the setCaptive command combined with the event handler fired to make them undetectable unless they fire. Found a nice way to do that over at Armaholic/BIS. Place a trigger, no radius. Activation: not set to anything. Condition: true onAct: {_x addEventHandler ["fired", "{_x setCaptive false;} forEach units delta1;"]} forEach units delta1; The fireteam is named delta1. Now, this works fine with one exception: if any one of you fires your weapon anywhere on the map, the event handler is called and you lose your captive status. What I'm trying to do is narrow it down a little, so that you only lose your captive status if you fire your weapon when there are OPFOR nearby. I've tested putting a trigger with a small radius around an OPFOR and firing while inside the trigger, to no avail. Activation: Independant Present Repeatedly Condition: tried both this and true onAct: {_x addEventHandler ["fired", "{_x setCaptive false;} forEach units delta1;"]} forEach units delta1; onDea: {_x removeEventHandler "fired"} forEach units delta1; That doesn't work either. I'm thinking it should be possible to write a function script instead with if, then, else but I really suck at scripting (didn't listen much at my C++ classes) so I wouldn't have the faintest where to begin. Anyone here know what's wrong, or if the function script should be possible?
  14. I have yet to play coop, but I can say that it has one big minus and that is only being able to play 4 players. On the other hand, you don't want too many people in one game, as it is objective and exploration oriented. I would love to try some out! The action is pretty fast-paced, KalXen. You often have multiple enemies attacking you.
  15. I've got it and I'm loving it! I'm currently level 15 with my Siren. Thanks for the post about the config files, Fatal! Whenever I play I'm on either EBDA TS or your own TS.

  18. As of the new *ELITE* BDA, no Spartans are "pre"-moderated. The slate has been wiped clean, so to speak. If anyone notices that they are still moderated once our new forums come online, please inform us of this as it is not intentional. We have revived the information from the old forums, so some stuff may have still stuck. Just let us know and we'll get it fixed. We're all brothers here.
  19. Hey guys. I had this posted on our own forums shortly before they wandered off, so I thought I'd post here too. I just recently bought me a copy of F-Secure Internet Security 2008, being so sick of not being able to update my not-so-legal NOD32. Problem is - which I realized after trying to install it - that it won't even install on a system running 64-bit XP. So, I'm wondering if anyone wants to buy this from me? It got some great reviews in PC-magazines here in Sweden. The package has been opened, so I won't be asking for the full price I payed if anyone wants to buy it. The packaging is in Swedish, but the installer starts up in English and you can choose pretty much any language you want for the installation. I WILL be contacting F-Secure to see if they want to switch this copy with the executive copy (which I believe contains the often mentioned 64-bit compatibility that F-Secure has had since 2004). If they don't want to do that switch for me, I'll be wanting to get rid of it.

  22. In the first AvP games, the humans were doing experiments with aliens and predators with crossbreeding. So there were Predaliens and stuff. But this is more based on the movies?
