  1. I'll definitely take it if you got it. I thought I remember seeing a forum post for this info, I did a search but couldn't find it. Thank you
  2. There seems to be a bug where players are dying multiple times when they are killed. I haven't experienced this first hand yet, but once a player is killed it is announced like 10 more times.
  3. Well I just joined a couple days ago - getting my skills up. Soon I might actually see one of you guys in game instead of mission running in high-sec
  4. I started the 14 day trial - I feel my life slipping away and all the accomplishments I want to pursue falling to the wayside.
  5. Sorry Delta team having to leave suddenly. Sears knocked on my door to fix the washer, didn't want to come off crazy yelling contacts at my computer For a three man squad with over a hundred kills in one AO I thought we did the best we could. OPFOR must have thrown 10 squads at us.
  6. I'm glad Blufor enjoyed that first mission so well. Let it be known though, that I had Bravo team and the sniper team in my sights all the way to the radio tower - but because I was stuck with the AK74, I had no way to engage (no ammobox). OpFor also had no way to revive each other. So here I am watching 8+ plus guys standing still on the edge of a forest, or skylined on a ridge, with the distance calculated and my range card ready to go. All that being said, I had a great time and you guys definitely organized and executed plans quickly after you were spotted.
  7. Bah my internet is being unreliable. Got through it until the end though. Good games.
  8. +1 Requesting OpFor Commander if it's open
  9. I think everyone did a great job considering the large amount of numbers, some times it gets too much to handle. I had a lot of fun as Bravo Squad leader, we had a few new TacDom players which made it interesting - they definitely got thrown into the mix quickly. It seemed like half the time we spent under cover, either from MH6's sniper fire, or AI shooting through the trees - but it was great. Luggage did a great job as MC.
  10. There might be a bug with the light factories secondary objective. I'm not sure if you were playing yesterday when a large group was on, but the issue was that we could not find the factory. Opfor marked where the orange secondary objective was located on their map but nothing was there. This happened again in another city later that evening. Durka was OpFor and marked it in global but the factory was no where to be seen, we placed satchels at the exact mark but nothing registered as blowing up. Both times we searched the vast majority of the AO, we could have missed them both, but I think it might be an issue with the objective.
  11. Hey I was wondering if there were any plans to run TacDom this friday?
  12. Yah the altitude increase might help. I've never seen AI shoot at the C130 so I don't think that is it. The plane always eventually gets near the area of the drop zone but sometimes (due to terrain adjustments?) it goes of course and never comes back.
  13. Hey Kalxen, I think the C130 bug is that about 1/4th of the time it will overshoot the Drop zone or fail to release it's cargo, sometimes it will attempt to circle back and try again but unfortunately most of the time it seems to continue flying on forever - this cancels out any attempt to do another drop as I assume the C130 is flying level until it runs out of fuel.
  14. I agree with Dai, you see it even now with the map stats which rank people by kills and points until it is restarted. People fight for points rather than play as a team. Obviously this isn't the norm but it does happen. Persistent stats would be interesting, maybe just allow the play to view them - but it sounds like a lot of work and would require a central network for the servers to connect to.
  15. I would definitely love to see Panthera even if we just ran it on TACDOM or made it an option to load up on the Sahrani server. The mountains are steep but in my opinion they focus the battles into the valleys. It also offers a great desert setting and realistic cities.
  16. Excellent work MH6, looking forward to trying it out. Hopefully it won't cause too big of a stink on the server, but I think it will guarantee that only those who are able and willing will be selected. It will catch on.
  17. I know it's not for a couple days but I thought I would get the topic started anyways. Happy Thanksgiving US* SPARTA Members, I hope you will enjoy the turkey and football as much as I will be. To those in the UK, congratulations for yielding the American colonies and avoiding NFL Football.
  18. C130 Upgrade is much appreciated, sometimes those MH60's would take upwards of 15 minutes to get there.
  19. Nice article. I think what the author captured is what keeps most of us playing. ARMA isn't about non-stop action and sustained entertainment -- to be quite honest, at times it's frustrating and dull. It is all about the 20 minutes of pure, edge-of-your-chair moments that get you as close to an authentic experience without actually being there.
  20. Starting at the beginning of next year I think I will have Friday's off... Is it sad that all I could think of is playingTacdom?
  21. If you are fan of Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Diablo, even Morrowing/Oblivion then you should enjoy Dragon Age. It isn't as free-roaming as the latter, but is pretty big in scope. I have probably put in about 20+ hours and am not even halfway done. Every line is professionally voice acted and the decisions you make in the game can have a big impact throughout. If you do pick it up, I recommend doing the Circle of Magi (sp?) quests first. You get a healer to join your party which is essential for later on.
  22. Definitely stick to Medieval Total War (preferably 2) or Rome Total War to start out with. These are much more developed and have a modding community that give both games way more playability. I think Medieval Total War 2 is a game I have constantly kept installed since it was released.
  23. There is a definite dichotomy in the server when an admin isn't present. I don't blame anyone without admin capabilities switching to the TacDom Server - hell I will sometimes do it even when the server is full of regulars and admins, occasionally a more laid back game is more enjoyable than total and complete annihilation within 10 minutes. It seems like there are several solutions to the problem, I guess finding the right combination and compromises is best. One thing I appreciated a couple days ago was transporting to the AO via a ground convoy. It was much more enjoyable and required people to stick together, meanwhile a commander can sit in the back and plan the attack.
