  1. Hey Ranger ! nice to see you here around :)

Are you still with TAW GRAW2?

Honestly i got addicted to Sparta and Arma2 with all expantions and gadgets, would not be able to go back on GRAW2 :)

Glad you enjoy the team work here, is amazing, isn t it? The normal Public DOM servers always have good team work, but the State of the Art are the TacDom on friday evenings, there is the real "Sparta power" :)

See you around my man :)

    Batwing,

No longer apart of TAW, I too love ArmA 2, and cannot go back to GRAW 2.

  2. Hey Batwing,

The key bindings are under the 'Advanced' section, in the lower-left corner of the main window. You have to click on the little arrow to the right of the word 'Advanced' so that you can see the settings and change them.

Is this the same Batwing from TAW years ago? If so whats up man how are you, send me a PM, glad to see you playing Arma 2. Legion of Sparta has the best servers on Arma 2.

  3. Nice video. My only complaint is the slowmo. It seems that damn near every ArmA2/ArmA1 video I've ever seen is in slowmo. Sure, it's good for select scenes, but people have been overusing it to the point where I cringe when I see it now.

Other than that though, good stuff. :thumbsup_anim:

    Hey Guys,

I will be making a video soon consisting of a full military assualt on a middle eastern city. 95% full motion, going to get some of my military buddies and do voice scripting, if anyone would like to help that would be great. I would like to have some British/Assie/Euro guys involed as well, and I could add an Aussie SAS or British SAS team, will edit, add sound effects, etc, with Adobe Soundboothe.

I only had the graphics on High not Very High, I used Slo-mo due to the songs and to show the level of detail of the game.

2:30-is that a damage mod? Destroyed HMMWVs are black skeletons in-game. Far more detail, and it almost looks damage-specific (with the front-end completely blown away)

Used the "Empty" wreck HMMV from the editor for the effect, also added fire to the engine and interior for smoldering smoke

The third soldier, near the passenger rear tire, appears to shift positions in each scene:

    2:52-Behind Pass-rear wheel

    3:09-under passenger side

3:30-a couple meters off from the passenger side

3:40-closer to the car by a few meters...poor bastard (still finger-safe on his M4, and so much for the vest)

Many, many different cut scenes and the script used made him move around alot

4:45-the vehicle, was it the same as at 9:03?

Some are the same, used different cut scenes

5:30-those are some mean looking 'birds

6:17-Are those different helmets? The soldier front-left appears to have his helmet webbing shifted forward, overlapping the accessory mount, where the soldier back right has tight webbing and a fully visible mount.

Soldiers off the Army 09 Addon, didnt change the helmets

6:45-ungh, heavy metal. I suppose the lyrics are fitting.

7:55- Two different soldiers with drastically different uniforms. The left soldier looks like the SP Razor team, on the right an enlisted grunt? Would different soldiers in this situation mix company and tasks (a question for the procedurally-familiar)?

For a Frag Order/Distress Call type mission maybe, more likely to see for example Army Ranger and A special forces team, or an infantry unit providing support of a HVT mission in a large MOUT environment, then what the video showed of Army Rangers and Marine Recon, added the Razor team becaue the entire SP is formed around it.

8:07-good face! (for a particularly unpleasant face)

    6Hours Later..

How did you get the soldiers and civilian woman to animate solemn poses?

Adding scripting to activation box in the waypoint module

8:57- if possible, blood stains from where the soldier's bodies had been removed would have added to the flyover

Agree, different cut scenes, made it very difficult

10:00 reminded me of this memorial in Boston

  4. If you feel comfortable doing it--or if you know someone who could help you with it--I'd suggest overclocking your CPU. Even a small bump up to something like 2.6GHz would help with any processor-intensive game. Other than that, I can't see any reason why you won't be able to play OFP2 with settings at or near the highest quality levels. A buddy of mine runs the same video card, albeit with a faster processor, and all of his games look great.

I have dled OPF 2 and have a 9800 GX2 with dual core (oced at 3.6) running at full high settings at 1370 x 720 resolution. Mission editor is not working for some reason with the Steam download.

  5. This is a well put together video. The slowmo executions were disturbing, especially with that haunting music in the background.

You must have used a bunch of mods to make this, I would be interested in knowing which ones.

    Cheers

    Z

    Hey Zeno,

I used the Desert Merc/Op Replacement Pack, Desert Marine replacement pack, SCM_IED script from arma1, Army Public 09 replacement pack, Littlebird and AD_Helo pack all from armaholic.

  6. Hey guys,

Well its finished, I have been working on editing, shooting video, scripting, etc, but my short movie is finished. It takes alot of time to get the right camera shots and quality video.

    Short Description:

Bravo-7 (HMMV Patrol) is hit with an IED while patroling Portolo. Insurgents are responding to the attack scene. Task Force 24 consisting of Army Rangers and Marine Recon are the closest assets to the scene. In-Game and Camera footage used for this short movie. Hope you like it.

Some of the footage may be hard to watch, especially being a combat veteran, but I wanted this to be as real as possible.

Please pass the video link on if you like it, thanks in advance.
