Does Chapter 2 also take place on Utes? And are these designed as concurrent "story lines", if you will? Just curious.

Well, logically you can't get "true" surround sound with a 2.1 system. That being said, yes they still do a nice job of properly channeling the audio, giving a simulated surround sound experience.

I am by no means an ace pilot, but I can get bombs on target if it comes to that. I've never flown the F-16, however, but I suppose I could give you an unbiased set of eyes on that aircraft.
So yea, glad to help in anyway I can.

Anyone has experience with it to tell me how it sounds?
Those are the speakers I have. Personally, I am quite impressed with them. Although I only use them for listening to music and watching movies. If I'm playing a game, I plug in my G35 headset. Not because games don't sound good on the speakers, but because my mic is on the headset. So I can't tell you how well they work for in-game audio. I can say they are extremely loud, though.
If you have any other more specific questions, let me know.

I wouldn't mind running this mission again. Anyone else interested? Perhaps we could get the squads split up evenly and have TS setup like TacDom.

Very nice work, Zeno and Kav. Very well laid out mission. Definitely provided a nice challenge without being "too" hard. Will be looking forward to future releases.
To everyone who participated, nice team work. Comms, for the most part, stayed disciplined and properly used. Did well keeping everybody revived and in the fight. People played their parts and stayed true to their kits. Although the lack of a backpack probably contributed to that. =) All around good job.

Hey Kal,
In the next version, would it be possible to give the OPFOR either some kind of spawn protection or just having more logical spawn points?
Issue I was having was that after the town was already pretty well over ran by BLUFOR, I had 5 consecutive spawns out in the middle of a field. So before I could even take my first step, I was getting picked off by a BLUFOR sniper.

So install TINTx32, even on an W7x64, and then reinstall x32 again?
The different versions are related to the game you're playing, not the OS on which you are running. If its a 32-bit game, you use the 32-bit overlay. If its a 64-bit game, you use the 64-bit overlay. Both versions of the overlay can be installed at the same time. You just fire up the one that suits the game you want to use it on at that time.
Did you use the same installer you downloaded for the first install?Yes, the same installer that gave me problems the first time worked fine the second time.

I found the bug. One single ")" missing in the functions library. Yum. I'll fix it quick..
What editor do you use to do your scripting in?

Opfor are not spawning in apparently so I switched back to M
Indeed. I was the OPFOR officer when Zeno loaded up version N. Everything else in the AO loaded fine (secondary objective, all three camps, and the ammo box), however none of the AI units spawned in. Not only in the AO, but anywhere at all on the map.
Right before I left the server, Troy was saying that he was having an issue spawning as a member of Bravo team of BLUFOR. Can't elaborate any further on that, may have just been an Arma glitch and nothing to do with Version N.

Both versions give me a dx3d11.dll error and fail to load, although they both will say engaged after they have loaded. The funny part is I am running Vista and shouldn't need dx3d11.dll
On my initial install of the 64-bit version, I had a similar issue. But I think mine was with dx3d8. At any rate, I just uninstalled it and reinstalled and it fixed itself. Had no problem with my first install over the 32-bit version, though.

But I did notice in the readme that you have to use the 32-bit version if you're playing a 32-bit game. Or vice versa if the game is 64-bit.
This indeed was the answer. I downloaded the 32-bit version of the overlay and it works in Arma perfectly. Nice little tool. Didn't have much time to play with the different settings, though.

Microsoft did not stop Safe Mode, it is still F8, on Vista and Windows 7
I think he meant that they stopped allowing you to change passwords while in safe mode.

tell me is there another TSO that does work with our current TS?
i love that tool!
well, in theory, this new release from project tint should indeed work with our current TS. however, as you probably read in this thread... no one has actually got it to work yet. It's still in its beta release, though, so kinks are to be expected.

Edit - had to fix a silly typo. >.

Sparta isn't going to switch to TS3 until our current subscription with our TS 2 server has run out. It'd be a waste of money otherwise.
When does that subscription run out? Just curious.

Did you get it to function? I'm having no luck. I set all the various parameters, enable it (wait for the hang to process), but no overlay appears. Running the x64 version.
I tinkered with it for a little bit, but ended up getting sucked into just playing Arma. haha. but no, I never got the overlay to appear, either. Then I had to leave for work. But I did notice in the readme that you have to use the 32-bit version if you're playing a 32-bit game. Or vice versa if the game is 64-bit.
Perhaps you could try installing the 32-bit version of the overlay and see if that gets you anywhere?

I was finally able to get registered and download a copy. If you're still having issues, give me a shout.

This was the bipod I was referring to. Its still a foregrip, just has the additional functionality of a bipod.

i gotta say a foregrip makes it alot easier when fire an m4 then without it and durka that is a fail.
Can't say I like foregrip, either. Just feels kinda awkward. Although our foregrips did have the extendable bipod legs, which proved useful on a few different occasions.

Question, with the rails like that, is it hard to grip? Does it require a ghetto grip, or can you hold it fine as-is?
Without firing gloves, I've found the rails to be slightly annoying to grip. With firing gloves, however, I have no issue. I personally prefer to grip the magazine well any how. But I'm only 5'7", so I suppose for taller guys that may not be comfortable.
Just my two cents. =)

Sniper Duel - The Hurt Locker

As I was watching that clip, I was also questioning a couple EOD guys knowledge of a sniper/spotter team. However, as I browsed the user comments, someone stated that they used to be in an SF unit, so its more probable that they could have received that training. But I haven't seen the whole movie, so I don't know any of the back story.
