We've already had a long discussion about this.
To recap: Nice idea, but not as good as they make it out to be. Voxels are a good system however, which I'd like to see used in upcoming games more often.
Yeah ya did! ;)
this topic I started should be deleted... I wish I knew what you guys are talking about in your topic...Im just an innocent bystander who enjoys playing games
-
check out this presentation. What do you guys think of this???
-
I always thought how this type of play would work out in arma.

looks good to me its 100 bucks more on tiger direct than the g73 personally i would get the g73 but it is a big laptop and the g53 is a smaller version of the g73 you can't go wrong either way you go unless you wanna save 100 bucks

I like this, just one addition, put in a 256gb ssd drive and it'll rock
If I were in the market to buy a laptop that asus would be it plenty of power and room to improve on good luck in your quest
-
check THIS out a bit bigger than you want but worth the look its on sale
-
you'll notice @ 1:03 the woman on left is playing what looks to be a Gut Bucket WTF!

Well, believe it or not, i bought the DeLuxe version of the game which comes with a digital map of Rome (as for the game) and being born and raised in Rome andlived there 37 years, i was curious to match their reconstruction of roads and location with the real stuff... and I am IMPRESSED !
of course, is not perfect but there is a very good 80% matching with the real roads you can find nowadays there. Monument's location are correct and as i said also a couple of briges on the Tiber river are perfectly where supposed to be.
Colosseum is totally a real rebuilt, you will find it the same way as you see it in the game, i didn t see all tof the monuments so far, but as example, the Campidoglio is exactly the wa you ll find it there today. Check this out and be sure to look at that in Satellite view, and then compare in the game:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
Keep in mind most of the monumets in Rome are in between 1200 and 2000 years old. The game is in 1500 so what you see there, for the most part is what you ll see going visiting Rome
Have fun
Wow that is very cool. I want to PM you on Facebook for places to go and where not to go. I need advice!! Im going for my honeymoon ;)

I think what Batwing is saying is that you should play the game so that you'll know all of the good escape routes after you kill someone.
ahhhh i see ;)
-
so bat what your saying is when I go to rome in november I should play AC brother hood prior to my trip and remember the roads??? thats to cool!

Although we saw a lot of movement, really I was not able to see the charachter animation and the action transictions. Those are big flaws on Arma animation, very robotic and far from fluid, I hope they worked on that to make it a bit more "human".
Did you notice how the bodies reacted to the the grenade explosion and when just simply being killed. The physics looked nice and real. I think it's a good step in the right direction. If thats any indication on character animation i suspect good things......maybe, well just have to wait and see can't wait!

I started to cry while watching that. Im thinking this will be epic bugs and all!

COOP missions
in ARMA 2
Posted
So to play these missions one would have to reset the server and load them up? Does that mean one couldn't play domination because others are playing a mission on the same server? Sorry for my confusion...... I like doing missions so this would be something I would enjoy.
