So I have bought opf2 on steam, and the more I play it the less I am enjoying it. It dosn't have all the bells and whistles I have come to expect from the orignal operation flashpoint, arma, and arma2. The p2p thing is really bad for lag issues. I hate that there is no lean ( I thought the keyboard was just setup incorrectly at PAX). a ranking system is siilly without rewards. I could go on...... On the up side I do think the AI is a tad better than arma2, and the game is stuning looking.

Well i was mostly trying to get information about star wars the old republic, so i just dropped a quick note here in case anyone wanted to ask a dev something. My impression of the game is it is beautiful, but the controls don't seam as intuitive as they do in ARMA 2. I was playing on a fairly high end machine and the frame rates were a bit choppy. I really disliked the squad command menu, but i never like any command menu that i have ever used, i guess i will just have to get used to that. The bloom from the sunlight was overwhelming on the small screen, but on the 42 inch TV they were also showing it it was much better. I used the M4, and it was as accurate as ARMA 2. There wern't any vehicles in the level. To wrap up, it was fun, and if i had the time to adjust alot of the setting, it would have been much more fun. I am sure now that i am going to buy this game, i just don't think that it will be replacing my ARMA 2. I just played a level of this at pax. I would say that it is fun, but I don't like it as much as ARMA 2. if you post a question quick I can try and find a dev to ask.

I would if i knew I could get the full use out of it. I have an nvidia 680i mobo and the pci express is on it is only X1, do you know if the 285 would be overkill for that? I?m not into updateing the mobo and te processer right now.

I have a 7800 gtx that is showing its age, and I just over clocked my chip from 2.6 to 3.15. I think I may find myself in the upgrade boat as well. What do you all think of the nvidia 275 or 285?
