  2. Soooooo that is what you do in your spare time..... Ok what ever blows up your skirt, I guess.
  3. The biggest EMF footprint in your house will likely be your Microwave (depending on wattage). I have one that is so powerful that it when it kicks on the lights dim a bit.
  4. *Hands out Beers for everyone* And what about the ACE mod... is it any good? is it even used?
  5. ZENO!!!!! Thanks for the reply man... I am sure that someone will spend hours filling me in when I get in TS... Wow a TS3... I had no idea that there was such a thing. Ok well I will be in TS as soon as I can (about 19 days or so). Take care.
  6. Hello Spartians and Friends... About 6 months ago I had to leave do to econimic reasons to an area that provided little access to the internet. Things have taken a turn for the better now and I am happy to announce that I will be moving into my own place on Jun 1 and that internet is scheduled to be installed the same day. While my time will still be limited (I have my kids for the summer) I will atleast be able to participate on some level. I know that many things have changed with ARMA 2 and to be honest I have not kept up with those changes. If TS info has changed I will need to know. Any help that can be provided would be greatly apprecated. Thanks
  7. I thought that everyone might want to have a look at this... It is a lastest in Russian tech and is about 5 to 7 years from operational use. As for a quick update... I am flying back to Dallas tomorrow. I have a few job leads and hopefully I can make some work available soon Much Love and Respect... I miss playing with you guys. :-( Steel
  8. Too all the Spartians and Friends that I have on the spartian server I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know that I am doing ok... no job yet but I have a few leads. I did check on the cost of having an internet connection at my sisters house. AT&T over 500 bucks for it. Told them what I thought of their prices by holding the phone over the toilet and flushing.... In anycase I hope to be online in a few weeks or months. In the mean time I submit the video below for your enjoyment.
  9. I wish... Forney TX. moving in with the sister until the job situation improves.
  10. Well I am in the process of moving and the bottom line is that because of where I am moving to it is way to expensive for me to have internet service. With any luck this will be a short term arrangement and in a few months I will be able to get into a place of my own again. Thanks for the games... I will look in on ya'll from time to time.
  11. What you mean like The Wizard? it was lame. Red vs Blue was funny... but not a movie
  12. Moshe... Did you every play in the IC tourney... if so you and I have a lot to discuss :-)
  13. That is all well and good but several of us do not carry western weapons. I know that Halli, myself and EMT usually have atleast one russian gun. Also I think the reason last night went so well is that we had the following stuff going for us... 1. The server was set to Veteran mode so it was a heavy challange 2. The seeds of Team work and cooperation were set early with the active leadership that we had on the first Objective. 1 + 2 had the following effect 3. The leadership bailed however the teamwork and cooperation remained. At the next objective the leadership was not nonexistant... it just had a really light hand on the reins. Everyone knew their job and just did it. There was Arty... and even air support on an as needed basis. Someone would say... "We need to move here and take X once everyone moved to help. It was a well oiled machine.
  14. I believe you are refering to "Chobham Armor". I know that the M1 series tank and Challenger 1 and Challenger 2 Tanks have this Armor. I strongly suspect that the IDF Merkava MkIV and the German Leopard 2A5 also have it though there is no documentation saying there is. In the demonstration seen in the video this would be classified as either as an active armor system or more accureatly a countermeasure system. Just for referance I will outline the differant types of armor packaged into 2 main catigories. 1. Passive Armor - this stuff has been around for ages and come in many forms. Basicly it is some some type of metal or metals used to protect the crew from incoming rounds. The idea is to stop or deflect the incoming projectile. You can read more here. 2. Reactive Armor - Basicly it is 2 armed plates with an explosive compound inside. This works to deform and/or deflect the incoming round. There are serious drawbacks to this type of round when operating near friendly troops. This type of armor is a "bolt on" solution in many cause and is used with passive armor. You can read more about it here. Cheers

  21. On a side note I am a firearm owner... I have a 20gauge and a 1915 Remington rifle with a bayonet that is now banned by the Geneva Conventions!
  22. I have to agree with the model 870 mentioned by the others. That is a dead reliable shotgun. I am not sure if it is still in use but the military SF units used to have a thing called the ""... It was a modifiied model 870 fitted under the barrel of a M16 or M4. pic Wiki In anycase I think that 00 buck is overkill. I use bird shot. one blast to the face and the intruder will definatly have a differant outlook on life. I have seen what a shotgun blast will do to a mans face at close range... believe me you will not look at a pepperoni pizza the same after that. That kinda brings me to the next thing... The taking of life. I will state for the record that I am blessed not to have ever had to do it but I have talked with those that have. They all say the same thing. That it is the worst feeling you will ever have in your life. They also say that nothing prepares you for it. As far as the legal implications of taking a life.... Personally the ONLY statement that I would make to the police is "I was in fear for my life." but that is my 2 cents... spend how you like. Never pull a weapon unless you are fully intent on useing it (you hopefully know that) and Lastly.... ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS if you must shoot... shoot to stop - centermass. Wouldn't it be great if everyone had a gun
  23. there is not a "parameters" section but if you right click on the game in steam and go to "properties" under the general tab, there is the option to "set Launch options". So all that is needed now is to know what switches to use.
