it's easier to get the hang of with the command rose (a'la BF2) and it's about the same game as arma 2, just minor differences here and there (I like them both, but I just feel better playing Dragon rising cuz it's not as confusing or annoying to listen to) I love when you're a sniper, and you got a nice quiet spot, your guys voice is like he's whispering so he doesn't get caught. Very nice touch. Again, it's personal preference, since they are both like the exact same game. It is a GREAT GAME! definitely worth the purchase

So far, I like it better than ARMA2. Played some coop like game with AI soldiers accompanying the enemy (forget the game type, think it was a sabotage like game mode) Sound is as good as arma 2 if not better in some areas (like the voice overs and weapon sounds) I was suprised when I was about to get over-ran by like a dozen infantry on my quiet lil base raping position, someone dropped an artillery smoke barrage and it saved my ass as I ran for a different spot. made me smile gloriously! Such an awesome game and much more user friendly with the commands. Just wish that sonic snap was in it, so I know I'm being shot at (there's good hit indication, but Idk why I love that snappy sound so much, makes me duck at the keyboard sometimes) My first impression is pretty good and it works online without a key for some odd reason 0_O (who does that?! THANKS CODEMASTERS! helps us poor bastards out IMMENSELY! and makes more players and servers possible) I score it 9 out of 10 (score not influenced by my 15 kill sniper raping....k maybe it was, but it aint easy to snipe like in some games. you get bullet drop like in RL and body shots can be absorbed like airsoft ammo from a distance)

WTH! I can't even finish the first single player campaign mission cuz the fukn AI is RETARDED! they just stand around and don't do anything after completing the village sweep, OMG was I upset, followed by a CRASH when I lazed his ass for destruction (didn't work tho) Sad start to a decent game. With everything on normal, it runs good on my 8800GTS 640mb and 3ghz dual core w/ 3gb ram and looks good too Wish it didn't fuck up the first time playing, horrible first impression. Maybe I should update the fukr (but not sure if it will still run after update)

I updated all the ACE mods along with the 1.16 beta patch, and all the servers I tried to join just booted me back to the server screen What gives??? Can I not join while a game is in progress? Most of them already had the status PLAYING, not sure if that's why or not.

I just finished the 3 hour long dl and I don't kno the password, and nobody is on TS right now. PM me the PW so I can install tha mods and gets-a-slingin lead.

Direct from bill gates slave minions. it sux cuz I love windows7, way smoother than vista or xp. Looks prettier too loads up in 30 seconds, compared to XP's 90seconds+, from power on til it's fully functional and no waiting to load background crap like in XP. I'm definitely upgrading when it's out. I also heard that DirectX11 will have new capabilities for GPU's. it'll have GEOMETRY Shaders and hardware tesselation(which makes upclose characters even more populated with polygons, for smoother breast cleavage and awesome nipple placement lol) and it'll offload a lot of CPU intensive jobs onto the GPU, for parallel processing (so your quad core + 240core GPU will ROCK YOUR SOX OFF with the equivalent of a 244 core CPU (assuming all apps take advantage of the extra pipeage) can't wait to see what it does for Lara Croft (I might actually play it if the phsyics are done right on a certain ASSET ;) )

Seems pretty sweet. Not a run-n-gun shooter by any means I updated to that 1.16 beta patch and the frame rate like DOUBLED Friggin awesome. Hopefully I'll be useful on the server, I'm pretty much green on this game. I got an email saying that on June 1st Win7 will shut down automatically after 2 hours of use and you'll have to restart what you were doing. which blowzazz :/ I stopped using it anyway, just seeing if I like it better than vista, and I do (I have XP, but my friends have vista and it annoys me tryin to play games on that thing, too many incompatibility issues) Hopefully it's gonna b the godsend we all hope for! I had those e-dimensional lcd shutter glasses, they were good in SOME games, and horrible and useless in other games. Not enough WOW moments came out of them sadly. PAINKILLER was the only game that WOWed me, and that was with Red-n-blue glasses, not shutter glasses lol Hopefully they've improved it since, but I'm not gonna shell out $300 for a smaller monitor(got a 32" HD-Lookadatoov *utube* and $200 for the glasses, if I had a shi+ load of cash to burn (which I don't anymore, quit the commercial fishing gig after buying a $20,000 truck) If anybody gets one, let us know how much they rock or not ;)

I wasn't that big a fan of the first 2 either, too much BS to get into the meat of the game, but by the time I got far enough to care, I was already into another game and totally forgot AA. I haven't played Arma, but I did play OpFlash back in the day, which was a damn hard game to master, but I got into it too late (when it was like $10 for the whole pack lol) and there weren't any servers I could find and get into it. I like run-n-gun games, HELL YA, but I'm also up for some tactical games, where you proceed with EXTREME caution. I like Rainbow six games a lot, since the beginning actually when you actually had to plot your teams maneuvers and not just run in gunzablazin. I miss those kinda games (been a while since all these high profile action based shooters are all over the place now) I had a good time for the short duration on the GRnet crouch server. I felt way more sneaky and it's not as stressful since you're not dying every 3 seconds. I seen new screenies for ARMA 2 and they look fukin amazing! Can't wait to get into that one

My buddy has Vista and it sux for gaming, I'd go with XP personally, cuz just about every friggin game I put on his vista computer crashes or can't even play for some stupid reason. I seen all the problems with vista and I'm staying away until win7 comes out, hopefully that won't b vista all over again ( i have the win7 beta and it's been good to me so far, cod5 works fine, but haven't tried any other games recently, cuz even win7 crashes and locks up for no good reasons) anybody else have problems with vista and games?

Thanks for the warm welcome (and hot lead) There's a totally different energy playing with ppl in voice chat rather than solo, which is why i was lookin for a clan. I used to have a hardcore buddy in Sweden who played BF2 a lot and other games with me, I miss him, he doesn't have a pc that plays game anymore, only a 360 and ps3 so he's MIA til I get a ps3. If I could, I'd work for a game development company on a professional title, but I gotta work on my 3d modeling skills(or lack thereof) It's my childhood dream to work for nintendo (but not anymore since they make kids games lol, now I'm thinkin DICE or EPIC) Speakin of college.....I gotta find out when they have the 3d modeling training course at my local art institute(Kendal College of Art and Design) Edit: NOPE, they don't have the 3d modeling course this semester, maybe in the fall or winter they say. SHUKZ. I have a hard time learning complex programs on my own time lol bein FORCED to learn is the only method I think will help me (I've tried learning on my own, didn't last too long)

Hey, I'm tryin to get into workin with a team on FarCry 2, I hate goin in solo and having nobody to talk to or have by my side to cover me at all times. I'm 27, live in Grand Rapids, Mi. I'm in front of my pc 24/7 and been doing some work here and there for various videogames (level designing for UT2k3/4/UT3, BF2, and now FARCRY 2) check out my previous works.... My UT3 CTF-TwistedFACE-ULTRA make something unreal contest entry (didn't place sadly) diff angle of TWISTED FACE This one is a Airbattle map for UT3 Vctf SKYCAP Did this for a UT3 mod called CARBALL Dif angle My first BF2 map MILE OF DEATH lvl layout skycam weather balloon FTW! Facry 2 map (my first one, still workin on it atm...right now, literally) LakeView Terrace 2nd FC2 map (still in beta stage) Ranchero slaughter house These are only a handful of my previous works (maybe out of like 20+ maps) I can crank out maps all day, it's like being a GOD, cept a lil slower....and not mind activated level design(someday that'll happen....give about a decade....and a nintendo Mii or something(Mind controlled controllers )) I make a living on my computer (ebay store) and I can dedicate a lot of time to playin farcry2, or COD4/5 maybe others if it means jammin wit da clansman.
