Welcome to the forums Night. Becoming a Spartan is not the same old usual process where you apply in a message and someone gives you tags, like you might in other gaming groups. On the other hand, getting tags is not like giving up your first born or undertaking a lifelong journey of self discovery living only on leaves and berries, either. Just feels like it.... I applied after I had spent enough time here to know this was going to be my gaming home. In all, I think the process took 4 months or so and today I proudly bear the mark of Sparta. Sparta does not put as much emphasis on tags as other groups might... you can be a part of the community and never get tags, or go through the tags process... either way your gaming experience is pretty much exactly the same. Your name just gets a bit longer... Enjoy your time with us, first and foremost.... get to know the Sparta folks and let us get to know you.... See ya on the fields of war...

Connor... Probably not a good idea to be squeezin' in extra ArmA time when your Commander (ie, Dad) thinks you are tucked away in bed .. I will be happy to fight alongside you any time in ArmA2.... you and your Dad did a terrific job.

Well jeez, if you're going to go around handing out thanks then you better include yourself and the other Sparta regulars in that list. Halli is always there, come rain or shine, leading us to objectives and giving us much needed direction... Durka is usually herding cats all night and barely gets to lift his gun, Cy is right in there handling disputes between players and keeps the peace, I mean the list of people and contributions goes on and on... so if thanks are to be tossed around, you guys who are in there all the time admining the server and creating a great play experience better make sure you are in the line up to get your share.

Took a little while but I am getting comfortable with playing on the Domination server. I tried being a sniper, a tank blow'er up'er, and so on and I think I've finally found my niche/role. Having great fun as an Artillery guy... get to blow stuff up, but I also get to do forward observations and general scouting. I load out with 1 ammo clip, 2 satchel charges, Laser marker and a battery. You will often find me either holed up in my arti hideout or working toward the radiotower with my satchels, or getting set into a safe spot for some Laser painting. In addition, I get to do occasional revives... all of this seems to satisfy my penchant for providing support to my team. So, everyone.....whats your role?

Hehe yeah JO is hardly bleeding edge but the gameplay is fast and furious and just really, really fun. Learning curve is minimal, and its easy to jump into a map, tear it up and have a few laughs. The game is old, and looks old, but for sheer fun and entertainment it is tough to beat.

There are a number of us who play Joint Operations (Novalogic, maker of Delta Force, of course) mostly coop, if ya happen to come across a copy we would love to have ya along...

Hey Ratch.. nice to see ya poppin in the forums. The server can be a lot of fun, especially when a lot of us are on Teamspeak. Thanks for the heals the other night too..i think you pulled my butt out of fire 4 or 5 times..hahaha (thats normal for me in Domination). Looking forward to blowin stuff up with ya again soon....
