  1. Fair comment, but I would call the spaag vads - Dragon Slayer. This is off topic, my fault. I can shoot the M107, even without the new fangled mods I have a sense for the ranges and corrections required. Not so good with moving targets, especially those traversing my field of view. I would like to improve my infiltration skills. I use vehicles to get to target area but prefer getting into position on foot, I find most vehicles have a short life expectancy, especially when I am in them.
  2. You have to love americans and their acronyms, when I first heard of the hummer I thought it was a blow job variant.
  3. Hollywood and cuss are 2 that come to mind and when they are on they can go in the server alone, if they wanted, like I said I like the idea.
  4. What about the people who dont read the forums but have access to the server. Other than that I think its a great idea.
  5. With this game, for the first time we have the possibility to play a tactical FPS. It is just a game, but it is a game through which we can raise our level of play. I enjoy the planning, reviewing terrain, potential enemies and weapon loadouts. I am trying to improve my play to the point that I die less, I also have no problem with killing less as well. I think there should be a plan and that when everyone is in agreement we stick to the plan. If the plan needs to be adapted we should agree on the change and not have people doing their own thing. Given my mediocre skills my game is far more enjoyable when working with a team. If I want to play a lone wolf game COD would be better suited. With the coop missions in particular I believe that a set of guidelines will help everyone to sing from the same songsheet, so that we can complete missions not just play them. Furthermore we shouldnt make people feel bad for providing constructive criticism, we should also keep in mind how new many of us are to this. In time with a bit of luck we will mesh together like a well oiled set of gears. In any case please continue to develop this set of guidelines.
  6. This is really taking shape very impressive.

  8. Thats awesome, I didnt know lions did that either.
  9. I was once passed by an old lady on a bike going uphill in Spain, she wafted past me effortlessly. then I looked down and her legs werent moving, it was an electric bike. But now mine will probably be a racing bike, I am going to try one out tomorrow. I will be careful Zath, my self defence mechanism prevents me from damaging myself.
  10. Nice bike Snowshoe. I have a very expensive toupé which takes years off my age. My current bike is an old peugeot hybrid. It has served me well so far but it is getting a bit beat up.
  11. Printed, very helpful thanks again
  12. I am aware of this but its not what I asked. So lets start again, is there a mod that allows one to use the second monitor as a map. No is an acceptable answer.
  13. I run dual monitor setups on my PC's. Is it possible to have the first/third person view on one monitor and the map on the second. This may be a bit of a cheat but it would help me a lot and would be a great tool especially for the mission leader.
  14. Thanks for the thoughts guys. Thanks for the advice Tritonb, I was going to train doing 4 6km repeats. The lactic acid is really kicking in now, lol.
  15. Its Vino not Veno and Beano is a comic in the uk. I would happily use gas power to get up the hill.
  16. Mont Ventoux (the Giant of Provence) is the most gruelling stage of the tour de france. it isnt the longest climbing stage and it isnt the steepest either, but at 21 km and with a 10% gragient it is by far the toughest. An English tour de France rider died on this stage (so has a tourist) It starts in a village called Bedoin which is 26km from my house and climbs 23 km from the village although the stage is 21 km. In September if I can get fit enough I will attempt to ride it. I have started training on a 6km climb which is 18 km away from my house, I have done this several times. Today I did my first training assault on the "giant", I rode there (which is a gentle uphill climb all the way and then rode up it for 1 hour 20 minutes I probably only did 7 or 8 km of the 21, but given that I am not a light weight (au contraire) I didnt have a low enough gear to take the strain out of the climb, so I had to turn back. Nonetheless I spent 4hrs 45mins in the saddle in the heat of provence, so as a training excersize I did ok. I will need to repeat this twice a week, and lose weight to be able to attempt the whole climb without killing myself in September when I will be 52. I added this to my bucket list (along with flying on Concorde and driving on the Nurburgring Nordschliefe) but dont want it to be the event that brings forward the bucket kicking date. I will occasionally post updates and photos. Tomorrow I am going to meet a former cycle racer (who owns a shop near me) to looking into a bike with custom gearing.
  17. Right, I have the 245b, it magnificent. I Play 18" to 30" away (depending if I sit back). I also have a 226BW, It has written on it 2ms and 3000:1 dynamic contrast. The 245B blows it into the weeds.
  18. be careful with response times, the 2 - 5 ms times are often for grey to grey and the 20+ms times are for black to black (I am not an expert though). I am very happy with my 245b I get a nice clear and large image for gaming with no ghosting. Good luck
  19. I have Samsung 20", 22" and 24". The 24" is the best, followed by the 20" then the 22". I Also have a 36" Samsung HD TV. I run the 22"and the 24" side by side in a dual monitor setup, it is there you see how wonderful the 24" is, brighter and Sharper. The price has come down so the 24" is not as ludicrously expensive as it used to be. Mine is the Syncmaster 245B. I was told Sony do not make their own LCD's but infact they are from Samsung anyway.
  20. I have never used SLi, but my 8800 GTX has served me well for 15 months and still appears to hold its own with the games I play. Also get a better power supply. Arent the faster C2duos 3Ghz (non quad) better for gaming that a 2.5Ghz quad. Good luck with the build. Cheers Phil
  21. Missed this post, thanks for being flexible. Look forward to playing with you again.
  22. The f*ç%ing support people are the ones who will get a stiff talking to when I sort my french out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
