  1. It was going to be originally, but it was easier to create a scenario using the editor use it in preview. I didnt save it but maybe I will create something later
  2. Thanks T, appreciate it. I did remember how to create a simple scenario and just preview it I ran it with five officers with no ammo. they run after the first shot and I have to get them before they reach cover. This is gives me some practice with moving targets.
  3. I am a fat bastard, I stopped working out at the beginning of the year, to concentrate on something else. Now paying the price for that. So now I am on my bike and working on this project. When this is done I will hit the gym again with a personal trainer, this always works for me. Details will be revealed if succesful otherwise will be a closely guarded secret, lol.
  4. I would like to create a simple sniper training mission with static, standing, crouching and prone enemy soldiers from 200 - 2000 metres at 200 metre intervals. I would also like an area with walking patrols patrolling in circles. I want to do this to get a sense of size of the enemy relative to the distance. I remember there was a way to do this where the enemy have no ammo but I cannot remember anything else.. Can you point me in the right direction. Thanks
  5. LOL, did you post a link to the wrong picture, it is in fact a motor bike. $3,500 and people say I have more money than sense. Nice Bike though!!!
  6. Well done. Good luck with the surgery.
  7. With 22 34 gears you'll be able to climb anything, Nice looking bike, with good gear on it.
  8. Thanks Seven It makes sense if there are a lot of people, but its a good discipline.
  9. Lets get going on this. We need a day, a time and a map I am thinking Friday or Saturday after GRNet crouch only winds down. We need a map so we can study it beforehand, some of us need time to get things clear in our brains. It would be great if one of the more experienced players would lead. Remember the rules: NO JIP (after announced start time) 5mins in NO RESPAWN in any mission NO REVIVE (or 1 only) MANDATORY MISSION planning TIME LIMITED GAME SPECIAL SMALL MISSION BRIEFING. Tight Comms no jibber jabber No talking at all when killed First who is interested Viiiper Zebb Zeno you know the routine copy and paste the list adding your name.
  10. I really enjoyed the game and the long observation. If there were another couple of players we could have eyes on the whole base without agitating the AI. Then we could have ripped them apart with few losses, till later on. I think the deadliest part of taking a town is the cleanup. I am not very observant but I am hoping that with practice this deficiency will improve.
  11. Will be watching episode 4 later today. If you are free on sunday we do a fun race every week, its on novice settings, with damage off and assists on. The server is up 24/7 for practice. Race is always around 20 mins. Check it out. GTR2 sunday race OK I'm oscar mike to my secondary HQ
  12. episode 4 http://v3.newzbin.com/browse/post/3144290/
  13. I dont see this having long legs but it would be cool to be a colonial marine with the toys they have in the film. I would play it in single player and coop.
  14. My plan needs 15 people willing to play at an extremely slow pace available at the same time. Thats almost everyone who plays evo, so its just impractical. The best hope for proper coordinated play is in a small mission like Zebb is talking about. Nice presentation Durka. Zathrus told us about the FARP idea, where you put a FARP on a hill that has oversight of the town, the put a Vulcan and a tank next to the FARP. The FARP rearms and repairs the armour and they can clean out the village of armour and air assets.
  15. I understand what you're saying, its just that I would feel like a "fake" using that language. maybe I'll get over it after a few coop missions. The other thing that struck me was the "politics" of the military.
  16. Watched 3 episodes. I am having trouble believing a marine captain can be so incompetent, bu the show is good. One thing it highlights for me is that it embarasses me to play at being a soldier, its ok for you guy who have been in the military, but I would feel a twat using military speak. I guess I could just not speak very much.
  17. Watched the first episode, it definitely gets a thumbs up.
  18. 1 is the colour of my RX8, but 6 with a yellow flame job would look cool.
  19. Obviously this is of no interest, lol, but after chattting with Durka there needs to be at least 2 snipers since one cannot cover the arc effectively.
  20. I dont want to be the general for the day but want to share a few observations for succesfully capturing a town. 1. 2 person Recon teams need to locate the Shilkas and other threats stealthily manouevering around the edge of the grey zone. The Recon teams need the M136 or Javelins. ideally there would be 4 recon teams (8 people) 2. Many towns have hills far enough away that 107 sniper teams can kill with impunity and yet still have eyes on the tower. For each town, that hill needs to be located and marked. The Sniper teams should have a laser designator (dont forget the battery). If there are multiple hills increase the number of sniper teams. (min 2 people) 3. An infiltration unit needs to get into the Grey zone asap. They are not to engage, if they enter through the arc of fire of the sniper team, they will be afforded some protection from roving patrols. According to Bushwacker this action prevents the AI from bringing in fresh troops. They should have a laser designator and 2 satchel charges. (min 2 people) 4. A dual role assault team should deploy in a HMMV with an AI. The team would stop well short of the target zone and approach the area of ariel activity on foot with Stingers. The HMMV will contain their alternate assault kit which should include Anti tank weapons or laser designators. (min 2 people + 1 AI) So far noone has done any shooting, between the four teams we should have a picture of armour and troop deployment. Initially the town appears dead, this is because the AI are spawned by some trigger event (which I am uncertain of at this time). The engagement should only commence when all teams are in position and ready. When the shooting starts, the recon teams should take out the shilkas and the stinger team should take out the enemy air assets, this will free up the pilots to take out all designated armour and targets. Once the AI is triggered the sniper teams will take out all visible soft targets then help designate targets. All teams should converge on the tower from multiple compass points, once the recon teams are in the grey zonee the infiltration team should advance on the tower using all available cover. This extravaganza requires at least 15 people (14 ground plus at least 1 pilot), but in my opinion this is a recipe for success. As you can see the assault part of the plan is vague. I have observed that the best you can do is get people into a good initial position and from then on it all gets a bit chaotic. Also the actual shooting phase will invariably be triggered by an unexpected enemy encounter, we would need to adapt accordingly. As you can see I have used no tanks or armoured cars. This is because I have observed that they are really only good for mopping up but are invariably brought in too soon resulting in their destruction. Anyway these are my thoughts on how to swiftly capture a town in evo. Given the number of people required if we ever did designate one night and one time for a big group mission we could try to implement it then.
  21. I think thats a test studio for letting clients try out different combinations of equipment, if not, wow.
  22. Missed this, lol, thats why damage is off.
