Greetings Spartans I didn't even know I could still log onto your forums since I hadn't been on in like forever!!! Just wanted to say Hi and glad to see you are still humming along. Especially the old crew that was at one time part of the BDA. I have gotten away from gaming for sometime but still remember the good times playing. You are right about that medic but, I am referring to North American soil and in yours and my lifetime. Pearl Harbor is after all what forced our hand to get involved in WWII full bore. My father-in-law fought in Europe from "43-"45 sadly he is no longer with us but it is cool to look through his memorabilia. He always told me "I am glad you went to the Navy, would have rather you joined the Air Force but the Navy is the next best thing." He always alluded to the morning of D-Day as they were getting their last hot meal before they prepared to board their landing craft, He always laughed about it but said the Sailors were yelling at them "You all had better enjoy it you SOB's cause your gonna die on that beach head today!!!". I heard him reference to that numerous times when I would be home on leave. He never talked about the rest of his experiences though, and I never pressed him about them. And not to take anything away from our generations but I still think that theirs was "the Greatest Generation". Salute Brother!!

That is one thing about 9/11 it affected many Nations as they had Citizens working in the WTC, Not just the USA but it just happened to be next to the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Worst deliberate attack against US on our own soil.

Yes I remember my wife calling and waking me up to tell me a plane had struck the WTC I flipped on the TV and the second one hit......Then the pentagon was attacked and It confirmed what the second plane had already told me that it was deliberate and I got mad (I was deployed overseas back in "93 when the bomb exploded in the basement as such We didn't get very much news on it other than a teletype(which we got daily)with world news so we didn't know how bad it was). This time I was here and I like many people, was ready to go to war with whomever committed this atrocity with whatever means necessary. It told US that we weren't invulnerable and for a time We were united as a nation, but now 7 years has passed and to some it is now but a fleeting thought if that and no longer a rallying cry.

Hey I thought my name was original but after reading this post I googled it just for giggles....and found out that since I started using the name in 1995, "kiltor" has become a common name in RPG games....I added the 2 and continue to use it just because I forgot my password years ago and had changed ISPs so I just added "2" hence kiltor2 so I could keep the name. I just finished watching episode 7 a fine series, very accurate on many aspects!!! Kind of Ironic but, totally coincidental to me as an American and a veteran that as this series was airing the final episode, 60 minutes airs an interview with Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich a Marine Sargent who is charged with murder in Iraq The Killings in Haditha While I will never know if the Tomahawks that were launched from my Ship killed any innocent people,(We all experienced the adrenalin rush and then the crash) It was something that I thought about and still do today, . this is in no way comparable to what ground forces experience I do not pretend to even fathom what they go through. But to charge our military personnel with murder in this type of "War" is to me, screwed up! If you have just seen one of your buddies blown to bits and just escaped with your life intact I think I can understand the anger and confusion that could lead to that type of out come and need to retaliate. That is the problem our forces have in that there is no clear/visible uniform to identify whether one is a civilian or soldier. Situations have to be addressed on a case by case basis. Enough droning on about that, just made me think about it was all. I felt the need to share with someone else and to see if it is shared by like minded individuals. I think I will read the book that this series was based upon, as usually movies do not do the books justice!!! I want to see what other perspectives Evan Wright had. A good show none the less.

Are you all using this mod on your servers? what other mods do you use? I have been playing on the evo server and I am willing to go tactical when you guys want to if I am on. When do you all do your training missions and such?

The 360 version of COD4 is good they came out with a 4 map pack Creek, Chinatown, Killhouse, and Broadcast I may get the PC version one day just hate to fork out the $40 when I have it for the Xbox. All though as I always say Consoles are ok but still not the same as a good ol' Mouse and Keyboard...
