No sympathy at all, the game is about as far from the original Kickstarter sales pitch as could be and still remain a FPS. I would have prefferred it was canned than released as is.

Or alternately, with those settings you could just play an old 8bit game on an atari cos it would probably look better. I have to say, I just can't understand why anyone would buy a new game and then turn it so low that it would probablylo ok worse than the previous game.

God it makes you proud to be British! "I've got a bit of a crack and a bleed there" Oh, and FYI, not only has the pilot been shot in the head but we have transmission problems too!!!

Anyone up for some occupation tonight? 20:00ish

I'm working till 19:00 so hopefully 20:00 or not long after.

So, I've been playing around with an occupation mission type with side missions. I seem to have it running pretty sweet atm and have also tweaked the enemy ai so they won't super snipe you with one shot now (they are still deadly though). Some of the side missions are awesome like destroying a downed chopper (scuba stylie). Anyone fancy trying it tonight? Currently I have it set for ten players but this can be changed easily, loads of editable parameters and virtual ammo box (with everything in and save able loadouts) especially for 3B3.

Firemen HUD works fine in the beta, didn't even have to update mine from the alpha. DC is another matter,iI will probably work but I stopped using it in the alpha due to FPS issues, I lost at least 30FPS whenever it was running. Fancy running through that mission at 20:00 UK time tonight?

Of course mate, as always it will be a pleasure. Great stuff mate, so much to learn, dual seat helo's, spotter and sniper pairs, underwater fighting and sub insertions.

**** MUST BE ON (or available) on UK TIME ZONE (evenings) **** So, basically I'm looking to get a head start on ArmA III. There is quite a lot of new stuff to learn as well as adapting to the new aiming and weapon sway. What I'm looking for is at least one person (but the more the merrier) who is ~SPARTA~ tagged and able to upload new missions etc and is willing to commit some regular playtime to learning the nuances of ArmA III and what is going to be required for Tactical Squad Based mission play. So there you have it, if you're excited about ArmA III and willing to put some time into the Beta on a regular basis then reply here or PM me. Cheers

No dilemma at all really, do you want a game that might be the flavour of the month... Maybe. Or a game that will still be going strong and being modded years down the line and guaranteed to be supported by this community? Where was the dilemma again?

This new video showcases some of the new features as well as mods etc. The IPSC style shooting range/tutorial near the end looks good, not tried it yet (going to straight after posting this).

Good luck with that Watchy, as much as I like scrounging around and shooting Z's there are just FAR too many glitches and bugs for me to bother with atm.

Fotunately I find that all this corporate greed is actually doing my bank balance a favour. Battlefield franchise - crap Cod franchise - crap Ghost Recon franchise - crap I now save my hard earned for proven titles (ARMA) or promising kickstarters, less money down the drain.
