  1. Nice one, let us know how much better it is when it arrives.
  2. SO... Been a long time partly due to waiting for things to arrive from China, Partly because I had to use the bike for work and partly because it's damn cold outside and I don't have a garage. Anyway, I finally got everything together, bit the bullet, put on the thermal underwear and got to it! I needed to get some spacers to mount the headlight bracket onto the new stantion brackets. Got some nice Stainless spacers and Bolts so let the fun begin. . Hey, with no Garage to put her in this is the best I could do! In the picture below you can see the temporary brackets I have fashioned to hold the clocks, these will be replaced with some nice custom ones I am having made. Again, in the pictures below you can see that the headlights themeselves had to move forward so I made some temporary brackets until I have some nice ones made. This turned up too late to be included but in case anyone is unsure it is a replacement for the Front Brake Reservoir pictured below it. These nice new Carbon effect Stainless Steel Braided hoses drastically improve the front end braking due to them not expanding and also being seperate hoses rather than the single split type originally installed. (You can see this in the earlier posts if your really interested). Got rid of that huge plastic back end assembly with the old Dremel and fitted a much neater Tail Tidy with new Turn Signals (which I have already melted one of). And finally , a quick walk around. Why? Just because! [YT=M4Os7iENSkA] Hope you enjoy and I will post up the new brackets and any more mods. (If I can stop riding her long enough to do anything).
  3. A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone.
  4. Many Happy Returns Guy's. Damn Custard, you is old!
  5. I don't mind getting a warning or even a small fine (even though THEY are the ones moving in front of me while I'm engaging a target). But to immediately become 'Wanted' and have all local security forces (not to mention Stations) opening fire on me is crazy. Your not telling me it's too hard to write a small loop that would differentiate between a random FF incident and a sustained attack.
  6. You could always try Takedown Red Sabre if you're yearning for some 'Old Skool' tactical play in the vein of OGR.............. Fuck me I nearly managed to hit 'Post' before pissing myself laughing then.............. Seriously though, I feel your pain. I think your in the same boat as me tbh, you're burnt out on the old classics like OGR and R6 etc but nothing since compares so we're in a kinda limbo. I find myself sitting in front of my PC most nights staring at a huge list of games on Steam or my Game drives but just can't summon up the enthusiasm to start any of em.
  7. Nice videos mate, I can't record any more since Nvidia took the bloody Shadowplay out for widescreen. I wish they would fix some of the bugs tbh like not enough weapon groups, and my pet hate as a bounty hunter - "oh dear, look at that, that idiot Security pilot just flew between me and my target, I hit him with ONE shell from my multicannon and now I'M the bad guy with a fine and every available policeman trying to crawl up my ass.
  8. Rather pleased with the alarm and the levers match the new handlebars exactly and look nice against the paintwork (I was a bit worried about them looking odd). New Mirrors turned up Saturday, will post a picture as soon as I have it. [YT=9-08FXIotoo]
  9. Dunno what's going on with the bold underline.
  10. Bits n Bobs So, the first few bits I ordered have turned up. I'll start fitting them at the weekend but I can't fit the Handlebars yet as I need the Risers and then I need to get the Headstock drilled.
  11. Homecoming - Cont And finally a quick walk around cos there's nothing like moving pictures. [yt]5_s4NjV5Nn4[/yt]
  12. Homecoming - Cont Some gratuitous shots to show the lovely colour. Continued in next post
  13. Homecoming - Cont So now some pictures after the cleanup and strip of all the scrap. I still can't believe she is 15 years old, I have had 2 year old bikes in a lot worse condition than this. Continued in next post
  14. Homecoming Another trip to Bristol to pick her up in a hired van. Normally I would ride a bike home but as she was from a breakers and an unknown quantity the wife decided that I would prefer to bring her home in comfort. Sunday morning and a lovely fresh sunny day dawned so I decided she deserved a quick shower and then work begins. First job of the day, strip off the remaining damaged plastics and get her in shape for a test ride. She had been for an MOT test on the Thursday and passed with flying colours and not even an advisor so I knew she was safe to ride but I still did the once over and then had to remount the right hand indicator as the fairing was now removed. Continued in next post
  15. So, I've picked up my new toy and here are some images as a reference for how the bike looked when I purchased it. In case you don't understand the 'Last Post' reference in the title [YT=99tCg596QSc] It just seemed appropriate as the nickname for Triumph has always been 'Trumpet' since the first motorcycle rolled off the production line in 1898 and since I bought this bike from a breakers yard as an insurance writeoff then it just sprang to mind. She is a 1999... yep... 15 year old... Triumph Daytona 955i in Strontium Yellow with factory supplied Carbon Fibre rear hugger and chain guard and full factory Stainless Steel racing exhaust. I will be using her while the project evolves and I'm not going for a completly radical Streetfighter look, more a Street Triple look (Renthals, small bikini fairing etc). Anyway, here she is as I saw her before I snapped the blokes hand off and whacked a deposit down. As you can see she was in an accident which caused only cosmetic damage so I assume she was knocked over whilst stationary somehow as there is no damage to any of the metal work, footpegs, exhaust, levers etc which are the first things to get damaged in a moving accident. With the plastics (fairing etc) being so expensive to replace the insurance company wrote the bike off and sold her for scrap. I was after a 'project' to Streetfighter anyway but didn't dream I could get such a bike in such good condition as a base so I'm well chuffed. Anyway, watch this space for updates and pictures as the project moves ahead.
  16. 1999 mate but it's certainly been looked after as there's none of the normal corrosion you would expect for a 15 year old bike. It's a Cat C but just cosmetic damage to the fairing (not even a scrape on the Bar ends or footpegs. Plan is to Streetfighter it so watch this space
  17. Tomorrow? I seem to be downloading it now.
  18. You reset the Bios at all, the PSU may have caused Mobo issues, best case a bios reset, worst case Mobo failure or flaky random issues. Hope you get it sorted man.
  19. No Idea about the Playstation side mate but TrackIR works fantastic in game. What GFX card you got mate? I have a 770 and have two connected to the DVI's and one connected to the HDMI. I'm going to get another smaller one connected to the other HDMI for info stuff such as Teamspeak, Gadgets etc.
  20. Yeah, I play on triple screen with TrackIR and Voiceattack fully configured and it certainly is immersive. I even have random conversations set up with 'Betty' (my flight computer) who can be a bit touchy sometimes.
