Chocolate Milk is considered one of the best AFTER workout recovery drinks out there, some say better than all the Gatorade's, Cytomax's, etc.... http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/24/...in1342839.shtml

Sweet, another biker!! I have a new blog to outline some of my biking adventures and other stuff too: http://bmickey1972.blogspot.com/ I've been biking a lot this year too, in fact last Saturday I road another 51 miler in about 3 hours time. I just got my Garmin Edge 705 and this will help motivate me, this thing is sweeet!!! I can download my workouts onto my PC and then upload them to the web and also it logs every piece of data you can think of imaginable (current speed, avg speed, mileage, odometer, heart rate, ascent/descent, gps position, etc etc etc.. ) check out the course I did last Saturday: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-state...us/796148590488 Another thing you can use whether you have a GPS-enabled cycling computer or not is a activity log for recording your workouts and setting goals, here is one of the better I've found: http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks/ I use technology obviously to keep me motivated and working out...hey whatever helps right!!

New Toy - Garmin Edge 705 GPS Enabled Cycling computer
THS_Tritonb replied to THS_Tritonb's topic in Spartans general chat
Yes, it comes with bicycle mounts for the handlebars. It runs about 540.00 for the most expensive unit. I didn't get it last night in the mail so hopefullly today so I can play this weekend. I've been reading the forums for Garmin and there seems to be plenty of little bugs but they do release firmware updates that squash some of them. I hope it works as advertised. -

Zeno, I'm impressed and intrigued by your efforts. I don't know much about the Tour De France stages but am a biker myself. My background is in mountain bike riding/racing. I raced at the Expert/Pro level for a couple years up and down the East Coast here in the U.S. My family also put on a series of mountain bike events for about 10 years on our family owned 400 acres of property. That was ended back in 2001 when my mother was killed in a car accident. Nowadays I still ride and in fact this year I'm riding more road rides on my Cannondale CAAD8 road bike than ever. I'm set to ride a 50 miler on Sunday and a couple days ago I rode 44 miles at a 16mph average pace. I look forward to the hearing more about your adventures. Hill Repeats once per week at carefully precise times will get your legs and lungs into climbing shape. I still can climb very well due to the routine hill climbs I used to do in my racing days. My typical training session was to ride a warmup of 25 minutes, then do about 8-10 hill repeats (3/4 mile long hill) and then a 20 minute cool down. The days immediately before and after I used to unwind or ride slowly to get rid of the lactic acid buildup in my muscles. It's all relative but that 3/4 mile hill was steep and long for the type of hills I was training for. Best of luck Zeno, sounds like you have a good plan. -
I sit about 2 to 2 1/2 feet back max when I'm on my PC. I don't regret buying the 24" I'm not sure of the differences between the 245bw and 245bw+ but I'm guessing its a great monitor still. At work I have 2, 19" Dell LCD's and I set back about 20 inches. Not a problem at that distance either.

Interested in hearing more about the PS3 project since I have a PS3 -
I would definately consider Vista 64 Bit if your going with Vista since the processor you have selected is 64 bit. i've noticed 64bit vista performs better on a 64bit system vs. vista 32bit on a 64bit system.
