Ok so my new card came with of course the driver disc in which it has driver number 171.16 the question I have is the newest drivers out are the 169.21 . How can the 169.21 be newer than the stock 171.16? :blink:

Ok to the true laymans aspect. What is the bottleneck of the programs and hardware currently being ran on our systems that would show an increase between the two mother boards? Would we really see much difference between having a 680i vs. 790i? Is the current ram using up the resources to the point where ddr2 vs ddr3 makes a difference?

Hoo Hoo I have built a new system and may need to use Durka's coolers and Zeno's power supply. The new system has an e3850 3.0 / Striker extreme with OCZ gold and it is running at 1333fsb Viiiper convinced me into the GTS rather than the 9600 and all is up and running with no prblems at current date and the first 3dmark with stock drivers are at 12343. Now if I can just get GRaw2 ReDownloaded I can really test this toy. "I bought the D2D version back when". And yes I will buy Crysis when I get More funds.

Well I am ready to start buying components for my build and may go with the 9000's to get me started. This will take some time to purchase but I need to get the ball rolling.

The real question is what card would play crysis with no problems would the 8800 gtx be over-kill when the new 9600 for half price do the job???

Sounds like a great deal of fun in waiting there. First need to get back into playing Gr1 and sharpen up on controls and of course shooting.
