  2. I'm going to have to go out and take photos of the current rent-a-pad we are occupying in Maryland before we move out. Not as big as the Halli farm, but it is 2 acres, and takes at least 2 hours to mow. It will be nice to get back to the smaller Georgia yard.
  3. Have fun. Do not even think about driving.
  4. Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet authorities finally issued the "results of investigation" in which they groundlessly linked the case of the sinking of a warship with the DPRK despite the accusations and protest at home and abroad. This is an intolerable provocation against the DPRK and an undisguised declaration of a war against it. Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a signed commentary. The commentary goes on: It is also an intentional and premeditated plot to push the inter-Korean relations to total collapse and ignite a war of aggression against the DPRK in collusion with their U.S. and Japanese masters under the pretext of the ship case. The ship case was an unprecedented charade crafted by the group of traitors keen on escalating confrontation. The "investigation into the case" was nothing but a red herring as it was aimed to zealously spread a rumor about the "north's involvement in the case" and thus fan up atmosphere for extreme animosity toward fellow countrymen and confrontation with them among south Koreans of different circles and, at the same time, openly unleash a war of aggression against the DPRK in collusion with foreign forces under the pretext of what it called "security crisis". A saying goes a club is fit for a mad dog. The army and people of the DPRK will never pardon the group of traitors getting hell-bent on confrontation and war, dare taking issue with fellow countrymen. We do not know empty talk. The reckless racket of the puppet forces will lead to a dirge of the traitorous clique.

  8. Actually, I believe it didn't "strike." It explodes below the center of the ship a certain number of feet below it. The rise of the explosion breaks the ship in two. Not your WWII torpedoes anymore. Oh, two hot items from N.K. News: US Scenario for Military Hegemony Assailed Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The United States is now busy stockpiling reserve strategic materials and stepping up the development of new type conventional weapons while putting up the signboard of "nuclear disarmament." This is a revelation of its shameless and wild ambition to put the world under its control and domination through high-handed military actions. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes this in a signed commentary. The U.S. seeks to maintain and strengthen its military domination over the world by modernizing conventional weapons, unbound to any international treaty under the situation where the elimination of nukes has become a demand of the times, the commentary says, and goes on: The U.S. ambitious arms buildup sparks off a worldwide arms race, disturbing peace and stability. If the waves of this arms race triggered off by the U.S. sweep not a few countries now in the grip of a serious economic crisis, it may bring disastrous consequences to them. By doing so the U.S. seeks to enfeeble its rivals and put them under its control as it pleases. The U.S. is the main architect of arms race and arch criminal seriously threatening and disturbing world peace and stability as it is driving the international community into a vortex of arms race and putting world peace and stability at peril. Being chieftain of aggression and war and a cancer-like entity standing in the way of peace, the U.S. will never be able to escape bitterer rebuff and condemnation from the world peace-loving people for its reckless arms race and moves to expand the sphere of its military domination. and Bulgaria's Cyrillic Alphabet Day Marked Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- A film show was held at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Corps Club on Wednesday to mark Bulgaria's Cyrillic Alphabet Day. Present there on invitation were Charge d'Affaires a.i. Vihren Nikolov and a staff member of the Bulgarian embassy here. Vice-Chairman Ryu Sung Rim and members of the DPRK-Bulgaria Friendship Association and working people in the city of Pyongyang were on hand. The participants watched a Bulgarian feature film.

  10. I bought one a couple of months ago. Cheap compared to keeping a plane or helo flying. Would you like a list of District and Supreme Court cases on REP from aircraft?
  11. Many thanks. So far, it's been a great day.
  12. If they don't have a dedicated server mode for the PC version, I'm probably going to extend my boycott.
  13. It's a fine store. No more, no less. It started years ago as a stereo store in Minneapolis, called "The Sound of Music." I know this because my old boss used to work there. It started growing back in the 80s, when they called my old boss back to work for him and offered him the VP of marketing job, along with being the corporate pilot. I'd be a rich and famous BB exec if he hadn't died about 3 months into the gig due to stress in his mid 40s. Or I'd be dead for the same reasons.
  14. I once fooled my Russian family on the phone into thinking I was a native Russian speaker.
  15. Actually, he didn't just like dogs, he's listed in the 1930 US census as a dog trainer working in Kennels. Yes, he worked at the Mariposa Boat Club as a rigger. http://scchgs.org/census/page053.html You grandfather's obituary is in the Fresno Bee. Maybe you can find something there. I've also sent you a photo of your great grandmother Pearl with someone who probably is your great grandfather. Pearl's parents are interesting. I'll send a photo of her dad.

  18. SUV driver can range in the 10-20 MPG range and be happy about it. Lighter SUV driver and general auto driver can be in the 20 mpg range and not to bad. Small car driver can go into the 30s Fanatical small car driver can go into the 40s. Hippy college professor types driving deathtrap autos can get into the 50s. Diesel is meant for Mercedes, huge SUVs, and occasional VW, and commercial vehicles. Not available everywhere, but fairly common. Harder to find fuels: Pure ethanol. natural gas. Not to many electric vehicles on the road anymore.
  19. http://www.sar.org/ for credit for your revolutionary ancestors (mine was an aid to Gen. Washington and later became Supreme Court chief justice. How I got in the family I have no idea) watch out for the sons of the confederate veterans group, they have been "taken over" by some people with less than historically commemorative intentions.
  20. Have you paid for the international version of Ancestry.com? You should be able to pull some of the Euro resources with that. Most of my ancestors have been here since the 1600s. Some of the old Euro history goes back to AD1000 or before. Famous ancestors of me: Henry I Thomas Jefferson Charlemagne Richard II Once you get the royal blood, the bloodlines have been documented back quite a ways. and for Halli: Col Congreve Jackson of the Confederacy (later Brigadier General), famous for battle of Pea Ridge, as well as for kicking the Mexicans out of Texas, the Mormans out of Missouri, the Navajos out of everything that was theirs... probably not my most PC ancestor.
  21. It's not snow. You've heard about the cocaine epidemic, right?
