  1. i think just take out what you can, don't worry too much about one at a time unless it power up bare bones style. i'd really only expect the ram to have any impact at all tbh.
  2. looks pretty easy to get to some components i'd disconnect what i could [wifi, ram, cmos battery] and retry, even the hard drive although that would not really stop it from powering on but you never know, nothing to lose. i have a dell power brick but it's different unfortunately so not worth sending. any Dell's at work?
  3. any multi meter skills to check the psu is giving enough juice? tried taking out the battery and powering on? it won't be the cmos battery. do any other lights come on, caps lock indicator for example?

  5. so after thinking for a long time about wanting a welding head attached to a hose/to the base itself so i wouldn't have to keep grabbing resources every 20 mins, Adder joins the server and says that it would be great to have a welding head attached to the base so that the resource thing would be easier, then 5 mins later he's only gone and built one, works first time flawless, well done sir!
  6. Cent showing off last night.... piloting a fireball while unconscious miss those party chopper days aaahhh
  7. 970, arrived yesterday. overclockers requested a batch made to their own specs, so 970 parts on a 980 pcb with 980 cooler, not bad overall.
  8. prices drop down due to a new tech being released e.g. new chipset - that's how business works. think you just pulled out a random list of company names rather than actually finding out about them, you know foxconn make asus equipment right? you might have heard of some of their other customers Acer, Apple, BB, Cisco, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, look up the rest yourself but not bad for a knock-off manufacturer if things were bad in the past, what is the problem now? things move on, stay current, buy intel cpus because they are the choice of clocking experts, try a zotac card because it's the only card manufacturer to offer a 5 year warranty, or a gigabyte board because their customer service is great, order Sennheiser cans because they are the choice of many audiophiles! how about Sapphire because they are the only manufacturer in the world to offer 8GB RAM on a 290 series gfx card? don't stay with the dinosaurs, the world moved on. fyi the RAM everyone here is using still is SD RAM. think you should stick to cars and guns because you know your shit about those. i'm not a self proclaimed computer pro, it's part of my job to know some of this stuff.
  9. 4000 to 6500 hours on those, that's between 166 and 271 days straight :] ~£150 per lamp, although i suspect he's not too fussed about the price.
  10. caved in and added a new card finally, will be watching what AMD come up with in the new year. hopefully an advance in performance rather than more efficiency stuff.
  11. sounds like a familiar story, thankfully i'm enjoying space engineers at the moment, missing a decent fps though. don't even fancy getting that new borderlands game because i reckon it would be too similar to the last which i played to death. 2 games i was looking at are OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead and Rainbow Six Seige , however the latter is a ubisoft game so that's putting me off already.
  12. check 'clockers forum for alpha keys dood http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18579771 reading that it's a bit limited at the moment, not sure i wanna get stuck into the alpha and get dissapointed
  13. slightly surprised that this is going retail this week, i know a lot of games are released unfinished these days, but pretty sure SE is still in early access / alpha on Steam. they are currently in their bug fixing stage, but the game must have gone gold weeks back to be ready for in-store release. hopefully they are still committed and continue their good work :]
  14. purchased today :] http://store.steampowered.com/app/273350/
  15. asus faq regarding the raid setup (bios pics) http://www.asus.com/uk/support/FAQ/1007642/ does it not show in disk management at all in Windows?
  16. was expecting to be rick rolled at the end definitely aliens not a meteor
  17. yeah awesome game on the whole, that was one of my fav maps (snipe snipe snipe)
  18. I loaded the game yesterday and the exact second i closed the game i got the email on my phone with the above video. glad he's said all that stuff, a lot of that they can't say while developing. early access on steam would have been great IMHO.
  19. Update 01.053 Summary In this update, we added an advanced rotor block that is able to function as a conveyor system and also implemented the option to mod sounds. The second important implementation is bug fixing. As Marek Rosa has already written in his latest blog-post, the game is entering into a stabilization period where the amount of new features will be reduced and the focus will be mainly on bug fixing and stabilization of the things that are already in the game. This doesn’t mean that weekly updates will stop coming or that we are not going to add new features any more. This is just a temporary transition period that will last for a few weeks. There are still many big and important features to be added, but first we want to make sure that the game is free of bugs and in a much more stable state before we start implementing them. Features - advanced rotor block - sound modding Fixes - fixed memory leaks in character, raycasts and asteroids - fixed small ship piston dummies - fixed render interpolation issues - fixed crash to desktop when pasting blueprint - fixed floating object size (components, ore) - fixed issue with not functional landing gears - fixed missing curved conveyor glass - fixed crash when clicking on faction - fixed issue when player can't create an asteroid map - fixed issue with explosions in older worlds caused by changed rotor offset - fixed game crash when declaring war and proposing peace - fixed spotlights not illuminating the area correctly
