  1. Very cool. Too bad it was all in Polish. XD
  2. And yet, people still hold out hope that BF3 won't be any less convoluted and shitty through Origin. Somehow, people are saying that BF3 being an Origin-exclusive, non-Steam game is a good thing. Well, this is what you get with EA. Disappointment and frustration. I mean really, a pre-order fee? WTF IS THAT? The only reason EA doesn't want to release on Steam is because Valve doesn't allow publishers to fuck their customers in the ass until they bleed. Thus, physical copy or a digital download from anywhere but Origin for me.
  3. Awesome. I can fly decently well, just don't ask me to land. XD Hajimoto might be better suited for that role than me.
  4. With the exception of the ending, Watchmen: Director's Cut is damn near frame-by-frame, word-for-word what the novel was. I actually ended up liking the movie ending better. Just a different way to get to the same conclusion that made a lot more sense (to me at least).
  5. Watchmen (Director's Cut, not Theatrical) and The Dark Knight rank as the two best comic-book films of all time in my books. And I don't even like Batman. 300 is up there as well. @noob: The Dark Knight you need to see just on the merits of it being a good film, comic book adaption or not.
  6. Something involving a Hummvee flying through the sky with a TOW missile sounds effective.
  7. Awesome! Never had the privilege to play the old GR's, but I'd be willing to test these out and play them. Been a while since I've got my tactical game on, craving it bad.
  8. I'm down for filming and/or participating. What would you recommend I use for video editing/conversion? I'm assuming you will be doing the majority of the editing, so how do you plan on sharing our captured video files with you? YouSendIt (or something similar)?
  9. XD You can delete your Web History at any time, or choose not to have your web history linked to your page at all.
  10. Fuck yea. Thanks guys! Beer is on me, the keg is right here:
  11. LOL, just posted this yesterday on Google+. Such a great video.
  12. You crazy retired folk with your time, money, and hard drive space. XD
  13. WHY?!?! There's no way you'll ever be able to play all of those in your lifetime, lol.
  14. Just tested the group chat with Batwing and another friend of mine and it works fantastically! Sharing YouTube videos is a breeze, and the video and voice quality is really good. The fact that its free and in beta but works this good is a testament to how much work Google has put into this project. This feature alone could put Skype in a very awkward position. Also a subtle feature that I find amusing and cool was that if no one person is selected in the group chat for you to look at, it will automatically switch camera views to whoever is currently speaking (or most recently spoke). Very cool.
  15. Thing is, Google+ is going to release it's API to web developers in the near future. There's already 3rd party plug-ins that allow you to view and post on your Facebook news feed straight from G+. The beauty of Google: fully customizable, endless developer possibilities. Oh, did I mention no advertisements either?
  16. First sentence: "An intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is a ballistic missile with a long range (greater than 5,500 km or 3,500 miles)" Thats a bit more than 200. The V2 rocket was not itself an ICBM, but a predecessor to them. The concept (or practical design as your Wiki states) was there, but they didn't quite have the range.
  17. Also: Sparks. An interesting way to begin discussions. Far from perfect, it sometimes pulls some really random articles. Though it can only get better with more uses and more feedback. Mobile app overview. Still a little limited in some areas, but works as advertised. Better than the buggy Facebook apps out there.
  18. A tech-savvy friend of mine recently invited me to join and try out a new social network developed by Google, called "Google+". I have to say I'm reasonably impressed by it's intuitive, easy-to-learn design and clutter-free organization. To me, this is a Facebook killer and I've already begun deleting all my information from Facebook. It's still in a limited trial run, so access is fairly exclusive. There's some little kinks here and there, but it is fully functional. Even the bug reporting system is great. Gives you an option to highlight what part of the page you're having trouble with, black-out any personal info on that page, describe your issue, and send that feedback straight to Google with a screenshot. I've reported 2 minor bugs and I've already seen both disappear, so they are very quick and dedicated to make this the best social network out there. There's even a mobile app for Android users as well (not sure about Apple users yet). I have some invites to send out still. If you want to try it out, just PM your email address and I can help get you started. A brief overview: The Circle concept. A great new way to filter content to the right people. Hangouts. The group video chat that doesn't cost you a fortune. Did I mention you can share YouTube vids seamlessly with everyone in the hangout? I'm having a lot of fun with it and have been slowly inviting and converting more and more friends to it. It's more private, and Google doesn't own your information like Facebook does. It's certainly one of the most intuitive ways to network with people. Post or PM me if you're interested! NOTE: You will need a Google (Gmail) account before you are able to start using Google+. I can still invite you, but you cant have a profile without a Gmail account. I hope by now most of you do though cause if you don't... well, I'm sorry, lol. Side Note: As a preemptive note, Google or social networking hate shouldn't be discussed here. That is not the topic and I'd kindly ask the mods to delete any comments regarding ones dislike of Google, Android, or social networking in general. I could really care less. Thanks!
  19. Still waiting on my space elevator.... And hovercraft for that matter. HUP-TOO NASA!
  20. Except EA is involved, and nothing good can come out of that. The ones responsible for the horrible game-breaking DRM of games like C&C 4. At least with Steam, it auto-logins at start-up (if you choose), you only have to verify your product and library once and you can then run it in Offline mode. Some games I don't even need Steam running at all, such as Company of Heroes and ArmA 2. Every beef you have with Steam is the exact same things that you'll find on EA's Origin, only Origin is horribly coded, designed and buggy. And having another service to login to for certain games defeats the point of Steam, which is to have all your games in one, convenient place. Permanently accessible from anywhere in the world using their cloud service. Unlike EA, where you have a finite amount of downloads (2-3) for a product before you are required to purchase it again. The whole worry of getting "hacked" excuse is completely absurd as well. You're no more at risk on Steam than you are anywhere else you may have entered information, an account, or profile. In the decade I've had it I've had nary a problem, let alone a security problem. In fact, Steam is probably the most safe place I feel on the web. If Gabe Newell posted his account info and purposely tempted hackers to try and access it to brag about Steam's top-of-the line security service, I feel pretty safe being average joe. And by the sounds of it, BF3 will be coming to Steam, but likely close to, or at, launch. They just may not get the pre-order deals that EA is offering through Origin or physical copies. Just means I'll probably pre-order it in-store and play it through Steam anyways, lol.
  21. I was just going to put up an updated image of this yesterday, lol. Those aren't the actual classes though. The guy on the far right is actually the medic. They combined the Medic and Assault classes, but took away the ammo. The guy on the far left is just Support, and gives ammo.
  22. A well-made video detailing a lot of aspects regarding Skyrim. Some of it we already know, but he goes into pretty good detail of the significant changes in Skyrim. It's an entertaining watch. This guy is a total Elder Scrolls (and Bethesda) fanatic, he's done his research and knows his Elder Scrolls/Fallout games very well. Also, might I request of the mighty forum gods to create a dedicated Skyrim board (or sub-board) in the future? I have a feeling a good deal of us will be playing this this winter. I plan on possibly making a "Let's Play" series of it, or something along those lines as well.
