    you will need to register, but to be fair you should keep an eye on that site for bargains all the time anyway, and the money gets split between the devs and charity.

If I could see evidence that they were making up ground I would accept the logic of keeping to a schedule - however what I see is a line of ships that are already paid for, still awaiting resources to start the work, on model remap, only hanger ready. At this point I fail to be convinced that there is justification for not focusing on the backlog.

     

    So personally I take it as a kick in he teeth that a number of my ships, which I have already paid for, have not made progress beyond when I pledged, and now they are adding to the backlog. This is why I am not convinced that they should take more money from people until they have delivered against their previous pledges. The game has a long lifespan, they can be afford to wait a while.

     

    To me is just feels like that are adding to the pool of disappointed users - by releasing this ship for sale they increase the quantity of persons with whom they have made commitments that they currently are not meeting.

     

    I will fight for the right for people to have alternate opinions to mine, but please respect my right to have my opinion. I have 25 years + in IT and from my perspective this project needs to resolve its backlog before taking on more work - and equally important from taking more money.

     

    This may be one of the cultural differences between approach in North America and the UK, and simply we view these things differently over here. We tend to be more cynical, more negative. I respect the much more positive attitude you have in north America, the can-do attitude - however it isn't ingrained is us Brits.

     

    Anyway, I hope I have kept this level and given you some insight to why we are thinking the way we are, and that we are just as passionate that the game should succeed, but we just see the focus requirement differently.

  3. The confusion here is this. Why are they diverting their own attention from the core responsibility of getting the game out the door by pouring effort into designing yet another new ship, which they would like people to pay money for, when they have not delivered against the £90million they already have and met their timescales? November 2014 has been and gone. The revised dates for this year have passed by. The price of the ship is actually irrelevant to me, it is the fact that they are attempting to generate more money, when they have more than enough for now.

     

    I want the game to succeed, but I think that they need to knuckle down now and deliver more than disjointed sandboxes.

    New Features
    Tweaks to prone:
    Looking around in prone now works similarly to using a bipod, but with a greater degree of freedom.
    Crawling resets the “pivot”.
    This also allows players to utilize cover more effectively when looking around corners while prone.
    New first person fire animations for all the pistols.
    Added new third person stunned animations.

    Bug Fixes
    Fixed a rare occurrence where a contested objective HQ line would not play.
    Fixed bots not getting cleared of their flash-banged state. :banana:
    Fixed reload continuing on singly loaded weapons (shotguns, bolt-actions) after the player had run out of ammo.
    Fixed muzzle smoke in first person.
    Viewing the “Training” tab on the main menu will now retroactively apply the “Aced It” achievement if you completed it in under 16 minutes on a previous run and didn’t get the achievement.
    Re-scaled the ejected shell models so they accurately reflect their real-life sizes.
    OS X: Fixed scopes rendering the skybox in front of everything.
    Fixed crash when running a custom map and the map .txt file is missing.
    Fixed crash when flipping through subscribed items on the Workshop menu.
    Fixed potential crash when clicking on custom playlists that had errors in them.
    Fixed crash when a custom theater didn’t define the names of the teams.
    Fixed crash when viewing the squad menu after an alt+tab.
    Fixed crash when ejected shell model failed to spawn.
    Fixed some crashes in material system.

    Note: Soft particles are enabled by default now for new users and when a user restores their video settings to default.

  5. Thanks to Custard and Slain we now have two current Space Engineers environments running

     

    A standard fixed survival, and an infinite survival. These are available as follows:

    We now have two servers for your delectation and delight



    The 8 slot server is stock config but has access to a enhanced number of maps, and I am taking requests on these so don't be shy.

    The 16 slot Theater mode server is also now running, with the weapon mod allowing you to give it your best Arnie impression as you can carry everything including the kitchen sink!

  7. Clearly not. it should be 8, seems to resolutely stick to 6, and I have not seen any details which lead me to believe that without hacking it supports 10.

     

    I will work on the fix to get to 8 this morning in anycase and continue my search to understand how they break the 8 limit on co-op

    I have updated the CO-OP server today with a slightly better config.

     

    We now have 50 tokens at the start of the game, and I have actually put in a config for hunt (who's in front?).

     

    I may even have worked out how to get more players in.

     

    If anyone has any other desires for the config then just let me know. I will put my best man on it - Cylawyer!
