Yeh Christian showed me Epsilon when I was in LA a few weeks ago It's a first person tactical shooter with graphics kind of like borderlands, but not quite as cartoony - so it's a little different. Where it is getting a lot of interest is planning stage (!) and total control of AI squad, ie set them up to breach and clear and heaps more. It's worth a look, especially as you're getting the full game free if you kickstarted Takedown.

Epsillon, I've seen it, Christian showed it to me in LA - it has a lot of features that will please tactical shooter guys, but it does not "look" like a typical tactical shooter, it will be a very interesting release!

Yeh 3rd person will disappoint some folks, but it's FPV when shooting, works really well. Cut scenes? Too early to say how they are implemented. Uplay - yuck - BUT,.... something better this way comes..... Ubisoft, hell they flew me to Paris, and LA and put my name in the Warlands E3 reveal trailer, I won't have a word said against them I tell ya! Joking aside, there is no comparison with Future Soldier though,- FS = virtually on the rails confined shooter, no freedom of choice in mission planning, on the other hand GR:W, any mission any order, massive open play area, vehicles, huge Co-op options. What I saw was very promising with a lot of potential.

Yeh I've seen a few PC games now selling for what used to be console game prices - but have you seen what console games for for these days?! Siege is an absolute riot, I played it in LA last week, terro-hunt is a total sensory overload - it requires extreme co-op comms to succeed - it's going to be great

SOLVED So I figured it was going to take too much to figure out this "throttling" I was seeing with my connection, so I stuck in a spare SSD and installed a fresh copy of windows 7, and the mobo drivers required to get up and running. First thing I did after that was go to speedtest.net and check the speed. As I installed programmes, my plan was to always check and see if the connection was still good. BUT, before I even installed any programs, the same issue was back! Ona fresh install! How can this be?? I'll tell you how, because the Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Drivers also install a Network Manager - it it has a setting to control upload and download speed - and it had defaulted to 100Mb! I uninstalled the network manager and guess what - NO INTERNET! Why? Because the manager and the drivers are one package. Qualcomm must have realised this was causing problems, because last month they added a drivers only download to their site - I noticed that today. So now I have the drivers installed without any bloatware sitting between the NIC and the internet. Pleased to have gotten to the bottom of this one!

The same driver is listed on device manager whether I safe boot or not.... But safe boot has no issues with full download speed.

Yeh similar effect here watchy. The problem is with the wired connection though.

Nice idea but not the issue here mate. Virgin Media publicise their throttling policy, and it is fair - and also not applied to the top tier, ie my 150Mb. Also, throttling would kick in no matter if it was a safe boot or not, so it's not even throttling my some strange tech quirk. I've had two engineers out and they've confirmed the connection into the house is fine by connecting up a laptop - so it is something happening on my PC. @ Halli, funny you should say that, when the ISP engineers were out, I was just waiting on a porn site url autocompleting in my browser as they were testing it - trying to think of an excuse fast LOL!
