  2. Welcome to our TS server and forums! A pleasure to have you on today, hopefully you'll feel welcome to return as you certainly are welcome.
  3. Thanks to all for the well wishes on my birthday!! Was a pretty decent one. No cake though. I think I get that in a couple of days when the other kids are here for the celebration.
  4. It doesn't take so many shots in multiplayer. I can tell you that much at least.
  5. Methinks someone is making fun of me (and others) for this: link All I can say is... LIVE OR DIE BY THE FORCE!!!
  6. MUAHAHAHA! ******IMPORTANT RUMOR******* see link: http://www.joystiq.com/tag/BioWare/
  7. Happy Birthday dude!!!!!! Let me know what it is like to be old.
  8. I learned to shoot between 11 and 12 years of age and was given my Dad's .22 caliber Marlin tubular loading bolt action varmint rifle. I began hunting, I learned to clean it properly and to break it down (the bolt and pin). All of these skills and having a family (although it was my Dad's gun it was others in the family that taught me to shoot and care for the rifle, my Dad ignored such things which is why I got the gun given to me, he was never into it) who cared enough to teach me the proper way to handle a weapon gave me a proper respect for it as a tool. The time family spend teaching youngsters can be applied to any medium as Medic says, but the medium of weapons (if properly done) provides more than just bonding, it gives skills that can last a lifetime and can save lives (hunting and self-defense) if it is ever needed. This is a fine thing to see a youngster this age with this skill and respect for a weapon.
  9. sorry if I missed it! Happy Belateds!!
  10. Happy Birthday SPARTANS!! I took the birthday off in celebration... well, that and I am sick as a dog!
  11. black hole! four years until we see a beam of light emerge from the Indian Ocean and then in a few microseconds the earth will be consumed by the black hole. uh... bu-bye! Poof.
  12. If you have a 5 button mouse with a wheel, you can set the mouse wheel push function as the push to talk and map the "action" function in arma to the fourth button on your mouse. Teamspeak doesn't seem to recognize more than three mouse buttons or you could just map button 4 or 5 to your push to talk and not mess with the arma "action" feature. I haven't been able to use my 5th button on the mouse in Arma as it seems to not recognize it, but it does recognize the 4th button. As a standard, I use middle mouse button, ie pressing mouse wheel down as my teamspeak push to talk button for each game I play and it seems to be the most universally compatible with all games I play, but I did have to remap the "action" feature in Arma to use it there. Once you are used to it, pressing wheel is easy as pie. I suggest you give this a shot and forget about keyboard PTT.
  13. Happy belateds Kiwi. Your special day occurred when I was on vacation and having trouble getting online. Now that I am back, I see that I missed it and wanted to make sure I gave belateds.
  14. Muffy's last words before literally drowning his sorrows: "It's not so wrong to love children the way I do, why does the world look at me as though I was some sort of dirty animal?"
  15. Late September/early October and I'll be qualified for a Field Command Ship. Will need to start working on $ for that soon.
  16. Arcade games: Two tied for number one, Defender and Robotron. I could play Defender infinitely if it were not for the need to sleep, eat, defecate, etc. all on one quarter. I could play Robotron up to 6 million points, after that it was insane. Asteroids and Joust would be close seconds/thirds. I could also play Asteroids indefinitely. Please note that for the above I truly mean ARCADE, you know the old stand in front of machines, not any ports there may be to PC/consoles. I would suck at these games on PC/Consoles as the true and original controls rule and a gamepad of any kind does not. For PCs: Without a doubt it would be OGR.
  17. Custard posted he was on holiday soon and it reminded me that I leave on Holiday July 31 and won't return until August 12 (late). We'll be going to Rhode Island from Florida. 1500 miles and I'll be driving it in 2 days, with kids in car! Wife and I rented a "Beach House" for a week (not really on the Beach but within a 3-5 minute walk of the sand and surf, New England style. As a change from our warm Florida waters, I'll likely be freezing in the surf, but enjoying the ocean breeze as I suck down a few cold ones on a daily basis! If I can get on tomorrow or Wednesday I will, but it looks unlikely. Will take my work laptop and may install Teamspeak in order to drop in if I have a public access wi-fi somewhere. The laptop won't play much in the way of games, but I may try a few that I have laying around. If I don't say goodbye before I leave Thursday, then I'll be checking in as stated or see you when I get back.
  18. Cheers! Enjoy. I myself leave on Holiday July 31 and won't return until August 12 (late).

  21. I heard that the primary difference between IPhone and Instinct are that the Instinct only connects to special websites that have the portable version of internet coding and that the IPhone will work with all the regular websites. This to me is a huge difference. If INstinct was working like this, I'd gobble it up because I am a dedicated 11 year Sprint customer and agree with you on their coverage. However, I was thinking of changing to ATT for the IPhone because the Instinct is just a phone with mobile data where as the IPhone is a minicomputer with phone capability.
  22. He was here last night and it was great to talk to him! I told him to come around regularly, he has a home here.
