  1. I'll take a wild guess and say that the isolation in your headset between the speaker side and the mic is not effective enough to allow the amount of gain you have set on your mic with the sound level you prefer. IF that's what's happening you will probably have to reduce the mic level and maybe run with it closer to your mouth. If the coupling is going on outside of the headset your headphone cups may be leaking so make sure you have the best possible seal around your ears possible with those phones. If it's going on inside the headset (or on mobo) then adjusting the mic level down and/or your sound level down will be about all you can do. 1) Verify seal around ears is optimal 2) Reduce your sound level 3) Reduce mic level Good Luck, X-Wind Make sure you check what Halli is referring to as that will act as a sub channel on a mixer and throw your receive audio right back out the mic side.....that's probably exactly what it is.
  2. If you're running the stock HSF (came w/processor) then almost anything will be a significant improvement. Zalman's are good and relatively inexpensive so maybe a 9500 or better yet a 9700. Zalman 9500 Zalman 9700 I run the 9700 on a lapped E6600 @ 3150 Mhz and my idle tems are mid 30's with load in the vicinity of mid 50's or so...and that's with a significant load. Typically it's in the 40s. I had a 9500 but in my environment it wasn't cooling enough for this modest overclock so I lapped the processor, put on a 9700 and it's been great ever since. The links are just so you can take a look and not necessarily the best deal. Hope this helps a little. Cheers, lmao Halli...posted while I was typing...hillarious!
  3. Thanks Custard.. I don't know if the game is for everyone but it's distracting me so I'm enjoying it. Looking around the net it seems I'm not the only one getting these errors and you may be right about folks just not noticing. I actually hit the console key accidentally or I may have never seen them. I don't really think it has anything to do with the config file tweak at this point. I'm getting errors either way. Cheers,
  4. Feedback with a headset? You don't have speakers turned up also by any chance? Receive audio is coupling into the mic if it's squealing so maybe it's just a level adjustment. Wish I could help but the only time I get feedback is when my speakers are turned up at the same time the mic is active. Hopefully someone can sort this out for ya. Good luck man I know it's frustrating. Cheers,
  5. Hope this marks the start of a great year for ya!! Cheers
  6. Has anyone else modified their CVARGROUP Config files? I changed all the config files prior to running Crysis for the DX10 on DX9 platforms tweak. After changing it back to the default settings the errors have slowed down a lot but I still get Scaleform' errors on objects that apparently are not there. The game runs fine and if it wasn't for these errors in the console I wouldn't even suspect something being amiss. Considering a re-install of the game but that will be an absolute last resort. From the lack of response it seems I'm the only one experiencing this so I'll continue to try and sort it out as time permits and post any improvements/changes. Enjoy, X-Wind ps I've got to say that this game is well done and reminds me of the science fiction books I used to devour when I was a kid. Very pleasantly distracting this one is and I'm enjoying running through the SP mode. I attempted a bit of MP bit last night and didn't care for the setup on the servers I tried. Maybe that will change as this game matures a bit.
  7. Have been running through Crysis SP and everything seems to run fine. However when I look at the console (~) I see this: Anyone else getting these errors or know what may be causing them? I'm running system diags tonight to see if it may be a h/w issue. Thanks for any thoughts... X-Wind
