  1. Safe trip Bud, don't forget we will hold the fort, you have a great time ;)
  2. Ok like you all know, a team/ corp needs a mission plan, because a planned mission leads to a more successful out come and that is our goal, success. We are around 10 players and each with various duplicates, everyone has a primary interest they would like to follow in EvE. The plan is to act as one corp. but be made up of elite squads that work as one in any given mission. Squads are formed from a min of 2 players to a max of 3 for now expanding as we grow, by having Squads numbered 1, 2, 3 etc... The types of rolls that have to be fulfilled in our corp are as follows, but we may have holes, so for the time being we will have to cover those holes with temporary strategies. Squad Rolls Weapons specialists & protection. To protect miners when not in secure space & no auto bot. To protect corp. in times of conflict. To assist or lead in missions. Mining and salvaging. To mine ores and other valuable assest To salvage wrecks from missions and the likes research and manufacturing. To refine ores into minerals To research blue prints To manufacture key products from market research data provided by commerce & traders Corp commerce and trading. inc some logistics. To buy & sell products for profit To research products and buy low sell high in markets with buyers To do day to day corp. paper work. Logistics & freight. To move bulk materials to key locations To move/ transport corp assets. To collect & move high volumes of ores & minerals Scouts & recon (covert & black ops) To scout out new regions in sec & low sec To provide forward intelligence on stargates and route To provide covert tactical knowledge of threats & neutralize via electronic warfare. Mission Statement/ the goals Some rolls are dangerous and some rolls are down right boring but they are all needed and they all go to our ultimate goals which are to have fun and play for free. To play for free we are looking at around 1.4bn isk / month (1400,000,000). So to get things kicked of we need every member that wants to try to play for free (one play for free account per person) to post their 3 preferred trates in order of preference. We will use two prefered choices as mains and the third as a backup. Let me say, you can do what ever, when ever, this system stands when on corp. business of making ISK. If you don't want to be apart of this thats ok, but the ISK for time cards will not apply to you from the corp funds. We are trying to build a community and we need all to contribute to the goal. I'll kick off using (eventually all transfered onto one account) viiip3r,viiiper,tiffany davis. Weapons specialists & protection. Corp commerce and trading. inc some logistics. Mining and salvaging. =============== E_money & I are doing a little test for inter regional trading using our own ISK (not corp.), we will post all details when complete. Needless to say if sucsessfull be will put it to all Co founders, to use corp. Monies to fund the venture. To give you an insight, we are spending 500,000,000 (1/2 bn) ISK of our own monies to make a margin of 10% min on an inter regional trade, project time 2 days (inc sales). We are trading between 2 regions 18 jumps apart and in autopilot it takes 45 mins one way. Till then plz post your 3 pref. from the list above, copy & paste.
  3. OK checking out region Placid solar system: Stacmon 18 jumps Scouting mission for a viable alternate to the Jita IV region criteria is Trade, resource (asteroid belts), facilities research/ manufacturing etc.
  4. You can only do level 3-4 missions if you have access to them. Most players do not.
  5. SALVAGER Including FAQ and all the knowledge http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.as...threadID=437363 FAQ: Q: Does wrecks contain any extra loot except for parts to make rigs? A: There are two stages in making a wreck "disappear". First stage - looting the wreck. U can tractor beam it and access like any other standard container. After retrieving the loot comes stage two, where u must lock on the wreck and treat it with salvager module. In this stage no, no other loot can be obtained than the parts for rigs (Sometimes u get metal scraps from player ships but well... theyre not much of a use). Q: Can i use two salvagers? A: Yes u can. However the chance to salvage the wreck will not stack. So each module runs on its own. Of course this may result in faster salvaging as there is a better chance youll be successful woth two salvagers, however u still can wait even 10 cycles to salvage the wreck. Q: Do drones in new regions drop loot? A: By Scaramaus: Yes they do drop salvageable items. Besides the alloys they drop as loot, you can salvage their wrecks, the same as you do with other ships. Items you can get from them include Broken Drone transcievers, Tritanium bars, Contaminated Lorentz Fluid and more. I've found about 12 different items in their wrecks. Q: Does researching BPOs for rigs reduce component requirements? A: By Pang Grohl: The BPO's have wastage, so yes, material research will reduce the component requirements. Tech2 Rigs: This section is under construction but i can already say that tech2 rigs will need intact version of the parts u usually salvage fro ships. There is a very low chance of getting one instead of damaged one. Also u can get them from faction rats (those that drop faction loot) and from T2 player ships wrecks. Intact modules have a blue sphere in the bacgroung of their icons, while damaged one have an orange blast in the background. To get a te bpc of a rig u must try invention as bpos for them are not seeded to R&D agents yet. It STARTS This guide covers some basic facts about salvaging and rigs. I have splitted it into 4 sections: Basics, Rigs description and what kind of stuff they need to be built, Salvaging - what ships and which faction drops specific parts and Hints. Basics: So what are those rigs... Well they are in simpliest words - implants for ships. They can be fitted into a specific rig slot but cannot be removed - you will have to repackage your ship in order to free rig slots, hoever you will loose all the rigs u had. How does rigs work? For the most part they increase one stat of your ship while decreasing another - that way u can create an uber tank sacrificing for an example some speed or powergrid if u dont need it that much. This way u can create more specialized ships, good only in their intended by you field. Each rig needs one rig slot and a certain amount of calibration points. U can find how much calibration points have your ship in its info screen under fitting tab just below CPU and POWERGRID bar. Like all normal modules u cannot fit for an example 3 rigs requiring 200 calibration points each on a ship that have only 400 calibration points to spare. T1 ships always have more rig slots and calibration points than t2 ships. To make a rig u need a blueprint - they can be easily bought on the market for a small amount of money (Manufacturing and research section, then ship modifiations). BPO's are cheap, but that does not mean rigs are easy to obtain - it can take a load of mission running/pvping to gather enough parts in order to build a rig. How to put a hand on some of those parts then? The answer is salvaging. Once you will make it to mechanics lvl3 and survey lvl3 u can train the salvaging skill. Just when you will reach lvl1 in it u can buy yourself a Salvager I module and start searching for parts in the wrecks Easy isn't it? Well i wish it was... Certain types of rats drops different parts - it depends on what faction they belong to. This will be covered later Now for the rigs. Rigs: Rigs are divided into sections. Each section need certain parts for all the rigs it contains to build. Each rig need three types of parts, in some sections there are rigs that use more types (always three but the rig requirements in the specific section dont match) Here is a small list of what rigs do and what kind of parts they need to be assembled: Armor rigs. Requirements in parts: Charred Micro Circuit Contaminated Nanite Compound Fried Interface Circuit Role: Armor improvements, salvaging improvements. Drawback: Reduced speed. Astronautic rigs: Requirements in parts: Burned Logic Circuit Charred Micro Circuit Thruster Console Alloyed Tritanium Bar Fried Interface Circuit Tripped Power Circuit Role: Improved speed and agilty (also AB and MWD). Some hull upgrades. Drawback: Less armor. Drone rigs: Requirements in parts: Broken Drone Transceiver Burned Logic Circuit Charred Micro Circuit Tripped Power Circuit Role: Upgrades for all drones. Drawback: Reduces ship's CPU. Electronic rigs: Requirements in parts: Conductive Polymer Damaged Artificial Neural Network Tripped Power Circuit Fried Interface Circuit Charred Micro Circuit Role: Improvements to hacking, archaeology and scanning. Also reduces the requirements of CPU and Capacitor for Electronic modules and ECM. Drawback: NONE Electronic Superiority rigs: Requirements in parts: Damaged Artificial Neural Network Fried Interface Circuit Tripped Power Circuit Charred Micro Circuit Burned Logic Circuit Role: Upgrades to ship's sensors, ECM modules, targetting, tracking etc. Drawback: Less Shields Energy Grid rigs: Requirements in parts: Burned Logic Circuit Tangled Power Conduit Tripped Power Circuit Melted Capacitor Console Fried Interface Cicruit Role: Improvements to Capacitor, Powergrid. Drawback: NONE Energy Weapon rigs: Requirements in parts: Charred Micro Circuit Defective Current Pump Fried Interface Circuit Role: Improvements to Energy Weapons. Drawback: Guns need more Powergrid. Hybrid Weapon rigs: Requirements in parts: Charred Micro Circuit Contaminated Lorentz Fluid Fried Interface Circuit Role: Improvements to Hybrid Weapons. Drawback: Guns need more Powergrid. Missile Launcher rigs: Requirements in parts: Burned Logic Circuit Scorched Telemetry Processor Tripped Power Circuit Role: Improvements to missiles and launchers. Drawback: Launchers need more CPU. Projectile Weapon rigs: Requirements in parts: Charred Micro Circuit Fried Interface Circuit Smashed Trigger Unit Role: Improvements to Projectile Weapons. Drawback: Guns need more Powergrid. Shield rigs: Requirements in parts: Charred Micro Circuit Fried Interface Circuit Malfunctioning Shield Emitter Burned Logic Circuit Tripped Power Circuit Ward Console Role: Improvements to shields. Drawback: Increased Signature Radius. Also note that in order to use rigs u have train specific skills. First off train Mechanic to lvl3, then Jury Rigging to lvl3. Now for each rig section there is another skill. For armor rig its armor rigging and it goes similar for all other sections. Now for the salvaging... Salvaging: In order to use Salvager I module u need machanic skill trained up to lvl3, survey lvl3 and finally salvaging skill lvl1. At the first lvl it will allow you to salvage npc wrecks. At lvl3 u can salvage tech2 ships, but it will take a loads of time. To salvage a wreck u need to remove loot from it first (if it contains any). U have a chance to be succesful and retrieve some parts from the wreck. In any way the wreck will disappear. New in patch: Once u will examine it there is anything in the wreck to loot it becomes darker. Here is a list from what ship how much parts u can salvage (soon to be updated): Frigate -> 1-3 Destroyer -> ? Cruiser -> 1-5 Battlecruiser -> 1-8 Battleship -> 1-8 Carrier -> ? Also each faction drops specific parts. Here is a list of what u can expect to salvage from npc wrecks. In () i put the probabilty of dropping the item: NOTE:: Im not counting in circuits as they are being dropped by all factions in large quantities. Gallente Navy: All kinds of circuits Caldari Navy: All kinds of circuits Republic Fleet: All kinds of circuits Amarr Navy: All kinds of circuits CONCORD: [grey]Metal Scraps[/grey] Angel Cartel: Alloyed Tritanium Bar (Very Good) Thruster Console (Good) Smashed Trigger Unit (Good) Serpentis: Conductive Polymer (Very good) Contaminated Lorentz Fluid (Very good) Broken Drone Transceiver (Good) Malfunctioning Shield Emitter (Good) Sansha's Nation: Armor Plates (Good) Defective Current Pump (Good) Contaminated Nanite Compound (?) Mordu's Legion: Armor Plates (?) Conductive Polymer (?) Defective Current Pump (?) Blood Raiders: Tangled Power Conduit (?) Defective Current Pump (?) Melted Capacitor Console (?) Contaminated Nanite Compound (?) Thukker Tribe: Guristas Pirates: Schorched Telemetry Processor (Good) Ward Console (Good) Malfunctioning Shield Emitter (Good) Thruster Console (?) Rogue Drones: They drop every kind of parts Mercenaries: coming soon[tm] Structures: This relates only to mission ones - they do not drop parts - wrecks apart of standard loot are empty. Hints: As the patch is coming tomorrow some of the "ways" i have worked out to make salvaging more efficient could be obsolete, ill hold on with it until ill assimilate my strategies to the changes. Hint by Krav: Since Salvager I's and tractor beam's both require high slots, the quickest salvaging ships will have a high number of hi-slots. This tends to indicate destroyers, battlecruisers, and battleships make the best salvaging ships, generally speaking. Hint: In low sec and 0.0 u may want to hunt down the convoys as they sometimes carry a few parts. EXPLORATION. When you will train up astrometrics to lvl4 u may try exploration. Sometimes you may stumble upon a complex with dozens of floating wreck ready to be salvaged. Quoting Strangely Brown: "There were spawn containers at this hidden deadspace site which needed the salvager activated on them to open. Also a couple which required archaeology and an analyser. Got about 100 components all together, of which about 70 were circuits. Not bad for 10-15 mins work!"

  8. Wireless is useless to me too, till the day I bought a laptop and then I wanted Wireless. Now my sister comes around sometimes with her laptop and cobol too and they can login net access using a wireless connection and the guest key. But on another point, all routers are great and do a good job to differing degrees, the thing I love about the N1 Vision is the data display, so many times I wanted to know if anything is on my wireless part and that has been a bug bare till now. Also the throughput of the router and connection diagnostic is cool, I mean how many times has your ISP loss connection and you spend 30 min pulling on cables and checking settings only to find your ISP is offline or the dam kids are downloading Debby does the USA and your bandwidth has gone to 20k max ! If this router is shit I will be the first to say so... ;) I think Belkin thought long and hard when they made this item and the CD less install is the cherry, I use hotel hotspot logins with account keys bought via their login page and this feature is in this router..... Visitors beware my network is isolated but you do get Internet for free and a coffee at my house. v
  9. I'm going nowhere with this, except to use your great knowledge and available hardware to maybe create something we all can use and love, but if it's just your personal project then that is different. I too would love one of this screens as would others, with your software but I can't see all of us that are interested, going to maplins etc etc and taking up building projects because we all haven't got the skills. Lets hope your project makes it possible for something special that we might all try to follow. john
  10. Was is CD less install ? pity the display is on the top as it cannot be put on a shelf and viewed but it does look sweet. Double the price and more But I did mention a Criteria and the Draytek fulfills only one aspect out of 15
  11. It's true people have to wait for developers to make applets to run the info from their PC to these screens, but , the people need to buy a ready to use screen. What good is an applet if there is no screen for the masses that is easy to plug in and go? I'm in search of a display that we all can buy and use, one that costs less than $100 and is USB, in a housing and will benefit everyone that uses it. Like the annoying little sibling we once were (sorry, sis) the Alphacool LCD squeals on its bigger sibling (in this case your PC) telling you everything it's doing. The Alphacool hooks up via USB and displays CPU load, system temperature, memory use, or anything else you want it to. You can even have it display your incoming e-mail or RSS feeds while you use your main LCD to watch a flick or play games. The Alphacool only has a 240 x 128 resolution and the display is in lovely blue-screen-of-death blue, but we still think it's a cool feature to have if you have the £150 squid to splurge on it. ? Louis Ramirez http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1094331 Picture this scenario - you?re running too many applications on your desktop that your screen real estate is not large enough to display every single window that you want to see. Or imagine yourself as a prima donna blogger who has more RSS feeds to go through than you can shake a stick at, and yet you do not want to constantly switch between windows as the distraction will disrupt your train of thought. Getting a larger monitor won?t help either, hence the introduction of the Alphacool LCD display as a secondary monitor. For $240, you get a fully programmable 240 x 128 pixel display. The Alphacool LCD display is connected to your computer via USB and is capable of displaying basic information such as system data, remaining system resources available, CPU load and temperature, and memory usage statistics. With the proper know-how, you can even program the Alphacool to display other information intensive items such as incoming e-mail, updated news feeds, and even your current playlist on Winamp. This nifty display comes with a 3m long cable that provides you with the freedom to place it virtually anywhere around your workspace. The Alphacool LCD display comes in a solid satin stainless steel case with a detachable monitor base that can be viewed in a portrait position. The beta version of the Alphacool LCD display is now available for download, and no prior programming language is required as the software follows an intuitive drag and drop model. You can now have a fragging session in the office while keeping an eye on incoming work-related e-mails with the Alphacool. The search goes on................. ;) Criteria basics. Has to be USB (not everyone can run dual screens) Has to be less than $100 US ( we all arn't loaded) Has to be easy to use ( self explanatory) Has to be compact and durable

  13. Just a point, the Giant secure containers TEXT Only 2 lines show and the max text showing is around 2- 3 short words.
  14. What are you suggesting? I need clarification (and not with butter) are you saying with have corp. sections ? and if so thatassets are allocated into sections with monies ?
  15. To be honest, lets look at facts and not day dream, for the price £99 UK ($180 US) This router packs in the punches in all groups (remember match the price before comparing). The router is CDless setup, no sofware CD no drivers no shit. The router has full 10/100/1000 4 port Gigabit switch hub built in. The router is available as ADSL or CABLE PoPA & PoPE. The router is the only one in the world with a full graphical display. The router sports self diagnostics for connection problems and connection details inc. display of all connections currently being made with data. The router is stand alone while giving all info. The router supports VPN (virtual private Networking) The router supports HOP SPOT limited access guest key, basically you can give a visiting friend or relation Internet access and nothing else, while preserving your master WEP key or phrase. The router is looks hot and has power saving modes. The router is N class and backward compatible (300Mbit) when you compare your router, see how informative it is when your PC is off but others are connected and using it, while you are wondering why little GREEN LEDS are flashing on your router while your PC is off, remember the Belkin N1 allows you to see who is on and allows you to kick users with your PC turned off. Next time you struggle for range or signal remember the belkin uses MIMO (multiple in Multiple out) no sharing and ranges around 200-300 meters indoors. Nuff said. If your Router fails this year, consider this puppy for full wireless networking & hard wired with the knowledge that your wife could probably set it up for you too. This wireless router has a 4 port wired side too, although if you want a totally wired one, you might be waiting a while.
  16. Looks the business I bet you could have loads of fun on training days, Whats the throw of the foam cannon (how far can it fire foam)?

  21. Impose regulations such as the following: 1.0: Only newbships, frigates, industrials, and barges allowed. No weapons except civilian size. 0.9: Above + small weapons + drones allowed. 0.8: Above + destroyers + T2 frigates allowed. 0.7: Above + cruisers + medium weapons allowed. 0.6: Above + T2 destroyers/cruisers allowed. 0.5: Above + BCs + jammers + webs + NOS etc allowed. The Eve Universe is split into sections, 0.0, low sec 0.1 - 0.4 and what we call high sec or Empire 0.5 - 1.0. 1.0 - 0.5 : High sec or Empire space has a low chance of being attacked so that new players can get to grips with the game before being blown out of the sky and never returning to the game. It give you a chance to train your character in relative safety while you run missions etc etc. High sec basically stands for high security space, the higher the number the more secure. Don't let this fool you because the space police (Concord) are reactive not proactive, meaning they punish people who attack you or vice versa. If you join a company you can also be attacked if another company declares war on you, basically the company can pay police to look the other way for one week at a time. 0.4 - 0.1 : Known as low sec but still Empire space, this area of the Universe has a high chance of you being attacked by other players. If you have your wits about you, you can play in low sec as you do in high sec but be prepared that you might lose your ship from time to time. The biggest problem with low sec is that pirates tend to camp warp gates leading in to low sec known. The reason it is called low sec is that it has low security or no cops, you won't be protected by police. If you are near a space station or a gate and you are attacked, the guns will fire upon your enemy but a good enemy will have configured the shields to be able to take the gun fire. 0.0 : Known as 0.0 funnily enough (some do call it zero space), this is where you will get killed at some point, best avoided if you want to avoid combat. Although with high risk comes high rewards, this is where a lot of money can be made especially if you join a group that owns a section of 0.0 space. In 0.0 space you have no protection what so ever, your only protection is how good you and your ship are.
